The original and the best of the Dawn of War franchise.

Highly recommended to anybody who loves this genre.

I loves me a zombie survival crafting game. Especially one that keeps getting updates.

Great as a single player game. Awesome with friends!

I have no idea how people live so long in this game!

Probably mods. Yeah, mods.

Rock and stone! This is a fun game to play with friends.

And you're dwarves!

What else do you need to know?

I've been waiting years for this game to come out and it finally has. Not as good as the old releases, unfortunately. I'll give it more of a go as time goes by and update my review accordingly.

For now, I'll recommend it but with the caveat that it isn't really the game it was previously.

tl;dr I do recommend this game but prepare to grind forever unless you like throwing money at your screen (and you will still be grinding even then).

This is a fun idle game with interesting formations and characters and abilities (and dialogue) BUT be prepared to leave your computer running forever if you want to make any real progress in the game (you can offline grind but your progress is much slower).

Even with my over 17,000 hours in the game, my formations (and I have every character) can't crack wave 400 without the use of rare max level potions. I also have 7 "familiars" that do specific auto-clicking tasks for me (and I paid real money for one or two of them, I am sad to say - and would need to pay a lot more if I wanted to try to cover all the clicking tasks in the game). This game is actually P2W if you want to have all the skins, all the familiars, all the starter packs, more potions (buffs) than the pity drops you get from gold or "special code" chests, and better cards for your characters than you will ever be able to grind in the game itself.

The cheapest packs in Aussie dollaridoos are $7.50 (though there is one, and only one, starter pack at $4.50), with the majority being $14.50 and the highest being a collection pack for a specific subgroup of characters at $64.95. If you bought all the current "DLC" for this game in Australia, expect to pay $576.20. In game, they advertise the prices in American dollars, so you can understand the surprise when you see the actual price almost double in Aussie bucks if it tempts you (and I've idled this game from day one and fought the temptation a lot - not always successfully).

Sign up to their e-mail and you will get a weekly code for a gold chest (remember the pity timer, though - 1 in 10 chests will net you an epic card (purple, which is the highest without P2W (colours are, in order, white, green, blue, purple, gold) - P2W nets you gold cards for characters). More chests can be gotten via social media and various streams over time (most codes expire - too bad for new players who miss out on older codes).

This is an amazing, unforgiving, old school RTS game.

If you love base building and surviving against almost insurmountable odds in randomly generated survival maps where an early mistake can be a late game failure, this is the game for you.

If you want a survival game that holds your hand, look somewhere else. Seriously. They Are Billions will eat you up if you can't learn its mechanics while playing survival mode.

BUT - the recently released campaign mode is designed to help players new to the concept get a start in this direction, hopefully.

This game scratches an itch I've wanted to scratch for a long time. I've already sunk over 150 hours into this beast and I can honestly say I still have a long way to go to beat all the survival levels!

They Are Billions is worth it in my books.
