Honestly. I have a love/hate relationship with this game. Concept is great, and it can be very fun, at times, especially with friends. However, I have serious issue with the fact that it could be sooo much better if the devs actually cared enough to listen to it's community, and didn't baby the killers.
There are a few killers who I seriously think need a nerf, and so many things I think should be punishable - or at least have some sort of penalty for doing in-game.
Forget the idea of wiggling off, because hooks are literally littering the map, unless you stack the offering for it to not be that way. Honestly, even then, it's iffy. Even if you use perks that are suppose to help, to some degree, It doesn't make much of a difference, especially if they use the Iron Grasp perk.
On top of these issues I have with the game, recent changes in the "meta" have really effected the fun of the game for me. It's become a popular thing for killers to do what we call slugging, which is essentially downing someone - putting them into the dying state on the ground - and going off to chase and down others. There are specific situations where it might be okay - such as you seeing someone else, who may have a flashlight or something, after downing them. Other than that, it makes the game feel awful for the survivors who have to deal with it because it just takes out the fun. And god forbid a survivor even says something in chat afterward that could even resemble complaining, because if they can respond, they'll more than likely have some sort of line about how you're "mad cuz bad". Honestly, it's the same if you play killer, for the simple fact that because more and more of this behavior is allowed, the community overall is gradually becoming more toxic.

Generally, I'm sure there's more I could think to say as there are definitely complaints I have for the killer side as well, but I'll get to that another time.

I wish I could hit yes and no both on whether I recommend this game or not because at this point, I feel like it's kind of a 'play at your own risk' type of situation, for me.

Phasmophobia is a really great game, so far, and I can only hope the creator continues to build and expand upon the current idea.
It's an incredibly immersive game and any scares you end up having aren't the normal, cheap jump scares so many games like to throw at you. For me, I feel it has a real psychological horror feel to it.
I'm not great at these reviews, and I don't usually leave them because of that. It should say something that I chose to give this game a review, out of all the games I nominated for an award.
