I love the idea of the game, the story and missions. However it is pay to win with severe progression blocks requiring bs.

I recently delved into the world of "The Day Before," enticed by promises of a uniquely reimagined post-apocalyptic open-world MMO survival experience set on the US East Coast. However, my journey left me more than a little disappointed, as the game falls short of its advertised open-world claim and fails to deliver on the promised uniqueness.

First and foremost, "The Day Before" is marketed as an open-world game, but it quickly becomes apparent that this is a misleading characterization. Instead of an expansive, immersive open-world environment, players find themselves confined to a walled-in city with extraction points that are constantly camped by other players. This deviation from expectations is not only frustrating but also limits the freedom and exploration that one would typically associate with open-world games.

The game's world, although visually filled with assets, lacks the depth and substance expected from a true open-world experience. The absence of zombies, except for sporadic clusters, creates a hollow and unconvincing post-apocalyptic setting. This lack of environmental challenges diminishes the survival aspect and fails to deliver the intense, immersive atmosphere that fans of the genre crave.

Another notable letdown is the absence of VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) communication. In a multiplayer survival game, communication is essential for collaboration, strategy, and overall enjoyment. The omission of this feature is perplexing and leaves players reliant on external communication tools, hindering the in-game experience.

While it's acknowledged that "The Day Before" is in early access, the shortcomings in its current state are clear disappointments. The game's departure from the promised open-world dynamic and its failure to offer a truly unique experience raise questions about the direction the developers have taken.

In conclusion, "The Day Before" falls short of its advertised promises, leaving players with a sense of dissatisfaction. The game's departure from the open-world genre, coupled with an unconvincing post-apocalyptic setting and the absence of VOIP, detracts from the potential enjoyment of what could have been an exciting survival experience. As the game continues to evolve in early access, it is my hope that the developers address these issues to provide a more fulfilling and unique gaming experience for players.

OHH AND I GOT STUCK IN THE STARTING ROOM :D

Since December 2023, I’ve had a really positive experience with Rust and my review reflected that. It felt balanced, rewarding, and fair to both solos/small groups and larger clans. But with the recent introduction of blueprint fragments for workbenches, that balance has shifted dramatically.

Instead of simply grinding for scrap, now smaller groups and individual players are essentially “primlocked” far longer than before. The new system makes it disproportionately harder for them to progress, since they don’t have the same numbers or resources to farm fragments at the pace larger clans can from them being locked behind. What used to feel like a fair progression path is now gated behind an additional grindwall.

I’m not the only one feeling this way. A lot of players online are voicing the same frustrations that this update doesn’t just slow down progression and leaves them vulnerable to the mercy of large clans, it actively punishes smaller teams, discourages solo play, and amplifies the advantage that zergs already have. Forums and community threads are full of complaints about how this mechanic undermines Rust’s spirit of improvisation and survival, pushing the game further toward a grind-heavy, clan-dominated environment. Who paid FP for this?

At this current moment a negative review will be going in. The queue times for servers are horrendous and more preparation should have been done for such a highly anticipated game, I suspect over the next few days I will be stuck in a wait list to play the game and that is unfortunate. More servers need to be added asap and other efforts to mitigate wait time need to be drawn up.

Great game and a fantastic steal price wise. This game is what I expect from future game in VR as the physics are revolutionary and I really enjoy interacting with the world. Each room provides a vast array of puzzles that require you to utilize the the physics and game mechanic and a magnitude of different methods can be used to complete each puzzle. This is important to know if you are someone who dislikes puzzles as they can be quite challenging and time consuming so beware!

Terrible staff and development team who disregard a majority of the playerbase, they deserve all the hate coming towards them and the game. Nothing more to say other then I am cancelling my VRChat + membership.

Terrible Early Access Game, the features currently implimented are barely anything and do not work half the time. The videos from 2 years ago look better then the actual game. Development pace and attitude need to change or this game will take 6 years to become playable and by then the engine and mechanics will be outdated.
