It's a terrible port but it has been fixed by the community... it's Silent Hill. It's good.

Solid game... a bit janky in the control department but that's part of the genre. Combat is fun, story is good, environments are nice, graphics are beautiful. It's not too difficult (if you understand the combat mechanics) or too easy and you can get a good flow going. There is a good variety of enemies, weapons, armor, and items to use. You can choose a fighting style that suits you, from slow and hard-hitting to fast and agile. Both present their own benefits and challenges.

Mechanics-wise, it's Souls. If you know Souls, you'll pick this up quickly. There is "estus" and "bonfires" and "lifegems" etc. It's Souls, including the combat. The speed of the combat and attack styles (for the heavy weapons at least) remind me of The Surge or Lords of the Fallen. It's very much a waiting-and-baiting game to create opportunities and each enemy has its own timings and ranges. It's really nicely balanced for maximum fun, especially with multiple enemies at once. If you're new to the genre you may struggle but will get the hang of it if you pay attention and relax, and most of all have fun. If you're struggling, practice timings and dodging before trying to attack. Once you get it down it's a fun back-and-forth and you can get increasingly aggressive as you learn. It's satisfying.

If you're a Souls player and you do find the combat too easy, that's just invitation to get more aggressive and take on 4 or 5 enemies at once which you can do in most cases. The bosses may be a bit too on the easy side but again, you can challenge yourself by under-levelling or taking risks. It's fun. I'm on my first playthrough and am not using the main healing item for an extra challenge and it's just right in terms of difficulty for a semi-casual experience. It's very action-oriented and not extremely punishing. Consider it a reward for completing something like Dark Souls 3 or Nioh. Relax a bit and have some fun.

Yeah, it's a solid game. Everything doesn't have to be an excruciating slog fest all the time. A game with balance is very welcome, and this meets the requirements nicely. I give this game 8 out of 10 funs but it's been trending upward as I go. It may even get 9 funs soon.

The main family-oriented story is super comfy and pretty realistic and the human element is captured perfectly. Anyone who has ever been in a pinch in their youth and crashed at a relative's place will know the feel. The mystery storyline is captivating and well paced, not rushing along or dragging. The characters are great... slightly exaggerated but not entirely unbelievable. The combat is great too, classic RPG with plenty of content.

Don't be afraid of playing it. You can play it for short bursts at your own pace or for extended periods. Very comfy game. I avoided it for the longest time, assuming it would be too convoluted or tedious with shallow writing but I was very wrong. It's very accessible and unique with lots of depth without being confusing. This is one of those games that changes gaming for you, and leaves you with memories you'll cherish as much as one can for a game.

A+

I'm only 90 minutes in so take this with a grain of salt, but so far it seems like it's going to be a good game with an interesting story and fun combat.
