Really enjoying this so far. Many systems seem much improved on Civ VI (especially the military) and the new era system really helps manage the issue of snowballing and injects a bit of additional challenge. The Eras combined with the system of swapping civs encourages you to change up your playstyle in a nice way. The civ swapping system is obviously heavily... borrowed... from Humankind but making the civ leaders historic and persistent makes the AI players a lot easier to follow than in Humankind's version of the same mechanic.
