I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME IF YOU OWN ANY OTHER VERSION OF PVZ.

OVERALL the game is over hated HOWEVER there are some fatal flaws.


The Negatives:

Before starting the game:
Overall this game is exactly the same as every other plants vs zombies "remaster" and remaster is used lightly its the closest to a port.

The game itself features less features (which are meant to be added back in future updates) like dynamic audio. This game has been released in an unfinished state yet charging 30$ AUD which is absolutely mind boggling.

Ontop of this, there is a small chance (I assume because of steam overlay or Geforce overlay) that you will get a black screen of death loading screen that doesn't progress. After researching the conclusion I came to was reinstalling the game whenever I ran into this issue as even disabling these overlays didn't rectify the problem.

When you start the game, if you do choose for whatever reason to use windowed mode, the game DOESN'T continue in the background and pauses which I thought was a feature. Upon clicking back on the window... THE GAME CRASHES. (this happened about 3 times, but since has reverted itself however I debate its probably temperamental).

Very nitpicky bug but if you do play this game your focus needs to be ABSOLUTELY only on the game.

Starting the game:

Overall, the game is amazing as the game is the same as the original released back in 2009. You cant mess up an already outstanding game.

Graphically, I do admit it does look "cleaner" but there is that alleged use of Ai upscaling which I personally believe is evident if you start paying a little more attention to title cards. Overall controversial however can be overlooked by a casual gamer and isn't game breaking.


The positives:

Its Plants vs Zombies. You are buying this for nostalgia and that alone. There isn't anything groundbreaking however its nice to play a game in 1080p rather than locked to the weird box ratio it was prior.

To reinstate, wait for a sale or wait for future updates. I am willing to change this review if updates do progress and further improve. PVZ is one of my top games ever and to see it dwindle in such a sad state really does sadden me.

Im oddly passionate about this but honestly I do hope things do change for the better.

Honestly, didnt expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Genuinely surprised and would play again. Also gave Greg a glock instead of blaster. Fun times
