If you're going to force on rails bossfights atleast make them dynamic.. while they have cool designs thats really all they have a good example is the Chimera, it doesn't care if you're a pure stealth build it will just instantly destroy you (on the hardest difficulty where it will one shot you) could have made it possible to destroy the limbs or disable the weapon systems but all they did is make a cheap MMO style raid boss... not to mention the difficulty scaling is literally just increasing the damage, they could not have chosen a more lazy method..

if this was supposed to be the secret agent style DLC they kinda failed miserably at the "secret" part if stealth isn't even an option at points in time.

the game is an unapologetic janky mess to put it bluntly, the weird movement system of the game has become something of a badge of honor for the community going so far as the developers themselves seemingly happily using it as an excuse for lousy scripting and poor design work. the game is as dark and dismal as the name suggests to its credit as it hides some truely hasty and ugly texture work.

-in and out 20 minute adventure

- ugly textures
- cramped spaces
- toxic community
- anti-cheat does ♥♥♥♥ all as the game is rife with cheaters of all sort
- sweeping buffs and nerfs
- cosmetics with stat changes
- movement system
- poor weapon interaction
- armor system (a good change here that would prevent people from removing to run away would be to make it take time to dawn or remove ones armor)

the game very obviously feels early access which makes sense considering it is early access but i dont currently think its in a state that is very enjoyable, maybe in the future when its more stable and better maintained.

update 1/20/2025: A while later and 154 hours and many updates later the game is still an unapologetic Janky mess the updates are not very well thought out and the game is very poorly balanced with specific classes remaining strongly on the top for weeks and maybe months at a time. Right now the big thing is the gear score lobbies you cant just go in with the gear given to you anymore you need to buy gear from the marketplace every time you go in to even have a chance of making it out especially with the infinite dungeon update, you wont get any sort of break in between as players will continuously spawn in even if the map is about to close (really just sucks on both sides because the new player gets cheated out of some of the mob and maybe the boss kills and the player that's been there doesn't get to relax.)
Update: 4/19/2025: late on this one but i kinda stopped keeping up with the game.

you used to be able to put quite a lot of items to market in game to earn some easy gold but they have since removed a good portion of the free slots available and made them available for purchase instead. they took away gold bags (which hold up to 1000 gold each when gold only stacks to 50 and isn't just a numeric metric) away that you could earn naturally by playing the game but made them available for purchase instead, the new package also offers potions traps and various other kit items. some of these are small but this is a bad and dangerous first step to pay to win (personally i already call this pay to win) that's also just ignoring the scummy practice of taking things that were already offered away.

there was a point in time when i would have recommended this game far and wide, however that is no longer the case. With the introduction of easy anticheat some of my friends are no longer able to play anymore due to their inability to use very nessisary performance mods for the game.

let me make this very clear EAC does **NOT** discriminate what mods are being used and for what purpose, its just an easy ban on record.

idk maybe if the team behind VRC listened to their community things might turn around but i suppose they are "too good to do that now" EAC should never be included in a freaking social simulator of of things.... it wont stop some of the issues they mentioned and some of those issues reaallly showed how ignorant they are about certain things...

for example, a keylogger is a program that needs to be downloaded from a shady link... there isnt really a way to send a link to a download over VRC unless im mistaken but that was genuinly one of the "issues" they outlined... realistically i think it was an excuse and they really just wana get rid of mods so they can actually push their VRC+.. they wana take away the ability for people to just mod a better UI and avatar limits so their own premium platform is more viable.

either way there are better options now... just go to chillout VR or Neos VR atleast one or both of those two also have the added bonus of not being babies about adult content to boot.

seems like it could be a lot of fun to make animations with but honestly im not great, its not very intuitive but i still like what its going for.

After playing a fair amount of hours now i will have to say that this is honestly one of the best MMOs i have played. it has compelling stories amazing characters and the customization is amazing so long as you dont want to customize your class. there are a lot of outfits to choose from a lot of armors to use as a glamour and they allow model mods. (addons like recount for damage is against the TOS so you dont have to worry too much about someone ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about your damage output online).

*Pros*
- you dont have to worry about being yelled at for damage
- great story and characters
- solid character customization
- lots of classes and life skills to choose from
- friendly overall community.

*cons*

-little to no class customization
- novice network isnt all that helpful (the novice chat is on par with barrens chat from wow..)
- a bit on the easier side where mmos are concerned.

in a world of cookie cutter mmos and companies being unable to innovate or take risks Final fantasy XIV is a very valid choice and a very fun one at that. the game doesnt do a whole lot thats wholely unique but it does what it can in the enviroment it was made in. it would be nice if it was less tab target and more action but sadly those sorts of MMos are few and far between and normally tend to be super grindy slogfests.

in short what final fantasy does do it does quite well.

i came in expecting a normal sex game and found out that the story was surprisingly well written... this is the proof that a sex game can have a good story and mechanics

Early access though it may be the amount of content they put into this small part of their game is amazing. you will notice a lot of bugs thus far but that is to be expected and the studio is very actively working to polish and add on to the story.

back when this game was released it was actually pretty half decent... now however the game is riddled with micro-transactions as well as insanely stagnant gameplay. if thats what you want then by all means but you will have to slog though a very poorly designed matchmaking system and a plethora of no lifers.

ehh its ok

this has to be one of gamings best redemption stories and while this game Isnt perfect its still amazingly fun to play with friends.
