This isn't a game, it's a work of art. You can feel the passion and soul in ever facet of the game. From the music, to the environment, the art, the story, the voice acting, the gameplay. Every aspect of this game you can tell that a person really, really cared and put their all into. When I say this is the best game ever made, I truly believe so. At the very least, the best I've ever played.

The story is a true representation of humanity. The struggle to survive, the battle with addiction, the sorrow of loss, and the aspects of what make you, you. I won't go into further details to not spoil but they really take a hold of you from the very beginning and do not let go even until after the end. It's something that is worth experiencing, and I think everyone needs to.

The game is a lightning in a bottle. Just hearing of how the dev team came together feels so unlikely, so impossible, as if fate itself was drawing them in. And they made the masterpiece that is this game.

If you haven't played it yet and are thinking "is this game really worth it? Can a game really be that good?" I thought the same. Yes, it is THAT good. It deserves every praise it gets and more. Even if you don't like turn-based games, even if you don't like RPGs, even if you don't like single-player games or story games. It. Is. Worth. It.

I'll leave my review at that. I've said all I can say without going too far into it and spoiling. Don't look anything up, and just enjoy the experience.

Straight up Zorting it and but it... well.....

This game killed PoE 1. Quite unfortunate.

There is a lot that can be said about this game and where its faults are but I'll simplify:

If you've never played PoE 1, this game is probably going to be the best ARPG experience you can get if you refuse to play the first one.

If you have played PoE 1, this game is a drastic step back in almost every way other than WASD, boss design (not pinnacle), and graphics. It's as if they got everything they learned over the last 10 years of PoE 1 and forgot it all. They are trying to come up with solutions to problems they have long solved. It just makes no sense. Nothing about their "vision" makes sense here.

As someone who thinks PoE 1 is the best ARPG ever made, it's sad to see them abandon it in favor of whatever this mess is. It's just sad. Sure, it's not "abandoned" officially at this time, it's just "delayed" but they've already broken so many promises that I have no more good will. I bought the 500 dollar support pack going into this game and what I got in return was them killing my favorite ARPG.
