i have played a decent amount of colony sim games, and i think this may have the best implementation of mechanics we have seen before. At this stage the idea is very well thought out i really enjoy this game.

What i like is there are consequences to decisions it feels like the story a character goes on has a bit more weight.
in my first game i killed one of my party members immediately which then sent my leader into a deep depression where killing every visitor would satiate his blood lust.
i also love the fact this merges a lot of other fairly established mechanics from other colony games and allows options to automatic if you prefer a more hands off approach.

all in all i would say give it a punt since they have something very unique here.
style is cute to but may not be for everyone.
would highly recommend

It looks great
and it runs pretty good

however....
Im so glad i didn't have to make an epic games account.
anyways i like it alot played 6 hours straight as soon as i bought it only turned it off to give my pc a break and eat.
