*Waring Potential Spoilers*

I played this game on stream for a few days and was honestly pleased by the substantial amount of content within this seemingly simple game. At first It appeared to be a simple game of looking through cameras at a family in their home, however after a few hours of game play I was shocked to discover a much deeper lore within the game. Why was the middle room which seemed to belong to a young child empty? What kind of secrets were this family hiding from us, the player.

Both myself and my chat were thoroughly pleased by the content within this game and we have theorized that the family has "gotten rid" of the other child in order to make the money they needed to live their lavish life style. Beyond that, the "nightly visitors" that you see occasionally imply a much more sinister story than we are led to believe.

If you enjoy observation duty style games, and also have a keen eye for finding lore where lore seemingly does not exist, this game is for you.

Highly Recommended, please do try.

Signed,
The One And Only Evil Nickel

Hell Divers 2 is honestly a breath of fresh air in a time when gaming seems stale and uninteresting. While most games are littered with obvious attempts to monetize EVERYTHING, Hell Divers 2 gives you the chance to earn those sweet sweet Premium War Bonds (Battle Passes) This is a perfect example of what we have been asking for as gamers for a long time. A developer that wants to make an enjoyable experience for the players, which in turn gives the players a good reason to spend a few extra dollars on a pass to get some weapons.

The multiplayer aspect is also really well built, you can team up with friends and take on objectives to help liberate planets for Super Earth, or you can play by yourself and still feel like you are making a difference in the overall war effort. Additionally, you can also quick match and join other teams that need help, or find a particular mission you want to play and join a team doing that mission. The loot is shared so there is no need to fight for resources.

Hell Divers 2 is an amazing game which a great team of developers supporting it. They are constantly updating the game and adding new weapons, armors, stratagems, and maybe even a new enemy soon. Overall I think this game is well worth the money.

Assuming Sony doesn't try anything funny... (See old review)

Honestly disappointed in seeing such a fantastic game fall prey to predatory corporate greed. The requirement to use a PSN account after 3 months of not requiring it shows that it isn't necessary for the game to run, and is simply something Sony wants "just because". It feels more like an attempt by Sony to boost PSN stats which is just another huge example of implementing unnecessary "features" that benefit the publisher while offering absolute zero benefit to the player base that made the game successful.

Asking players to sign up for a third party service and account or be locked out of the game you already paid for months ago seems predatory and makes for an overall negative experience to players. While none of this might directly fall on the hands of Arrowhead Game Studios, their disregard for their player base has made me lose interest in supporting them. Their approach to player complaints comes across as condescending. Many players that have supported the game since day one are basically being told things like too bad, go complain somewhere that matters.

To make matters worse, all of this is being done under the guise of "security" but it seems more like an attempt to collect information on the players rather than security. Actions like these set dangerous precedents about what is acceptable in gaming. It is important to remember that we paid for this game, it was not free. Providing personal information should NOT be a requirement to play the game we paid for. Especially with a track record of data breaches in recent years.

I truly hope Arrowhead and PSN reconsider this change because up until this point, the game was a perfect example of what we as gamers have been asking for in a game. It was a fun title with out all of the money grabbing features that have become standard in gaming.

It really sucks to see such a great game fall like this, but as of now I have no interest in continuing to support yet another developer that has turned it's back on it's community.

Played the game for a few days a while back and had a really good time playing it. The only issue I have is the game takes a lot of strategy to try and maximize your runs. I played with a group of friends, and didn't realize that I shouldn't be taking items just because I was the one who found them.

This carries on into the matchmaking for the game. Your matchmade teammates are simply trying to pad their stats and will snipe items away from you which means that your overall run will be shorter unless you have good communication.

The game is fun, but it gets pretty boring after a while because you dont really grind for progression since there doesnt seem to be any fixed progression. You are simply going into the map with your character and looking to make it as far as possible.
