Ghost of Tsushima is really a great game. The graphics are beautiful but more than that the world as a whole is very well designed to portray that beauty. To add to that beauty the soundtracks and ambiance of the world is just as great and really builds a fantastic setting.

Combat is engaging and fun but not to difficult overall, requires you to pay attention to your enemy and their stance/movements. Stealth combat is fun and really enjoyed sneaking up and playing from the shadows as well with a great assortment of weapons and tools at your disposal.

The Storyline was really good and well told, and I also enjoyed the isle of Iki and the storyline it added on as well. It has a ample amount of side quests which do not feel like busy work or time fillers as they continue telling the story of the world around you which I appreciate. I got the game on sale but I do feel it is worth the full price as the quality is exceptional.

Having fully completed game I have decided to update review. I have done all quests, been to all areas, maxed all companions to hero of veilguard and completed game with "good" ending.

Overall, I give Dragon Age: The Veilguard a thumbs up recommend as a action RPG game, but I will say that as a "Dragon Age" game I find it to truly be the weakest and most disheartening entry into the series.

What they did well in this game:
1) Combat- I found the combat to be engaging and fun but not overly difficult. I was able to kill a lvl 50 blighted dragon as a lvl 32 well before I was to normally take on that encounter and it really all just comes down to how good you are at being able to dodge and block when needed to survive. Classes are fun and being able to respec points for free at anytime and always having all gear on demand allows freedom to fully explore your class.
2) Visuals- The game looks great, and runs great. While the art style is very much a departure from the normal Dragon Age experience, it is not bad and parts do make sense in context with what is happening to the world in story line. But coming from past dragon age games it is very much the polar opposite high fantasy.
3) The Mythos- I really enjoyed the main story line and seeing the plot unfold having played all the previous titles. And being able to see the story from another perspective was neat. Although, I must say they really messed up in a few areas of lore and ignored some decisions made in past games. But you wouldn't know that if this is your first Dragon Age game to play. While disappointing to see the failure in those points of lore and history it is not completely unexpected seeing as the team lost most of its veteran team members that made the past games.

What they did badly in this game:
1) Companions- Sadly this is an area that Dragon Age normally does very well in, however Veilguard has in my opinion the worst development of companions in the entire series. Everyone feels shallow, devoid of real personality. Even major story decisions that have huge ramifications on companion’s homes and personal lives are shrugged off. There is a complete lack of conflict, differing of opinions, and personality that sets them apart and adds dynamics. Nobody gets mad, holds a grudge, backstabs, or really has any opportunity to truly grow as a character and form any meaningful bond through conflict and trials. Everyone is just this 1 tone happy, trusting, friendly, conflict-less party member that just follows whatever you say no matter what and has no real thoughts or actions of their own. It makes them feel truly meaningless, and that is truly a sad thing to see in a Dragon Age game.
2) Lacks a Spine- I don't say this to be mean, just as an honest reflection of the current state of this team. This is a game that is terminally terrified of upsetting anyone, of having any true conflict, or touching difficult topics. It became Very apparent to me early on that this game just feels like it was run through a super sensitive HR department team to remove anything that might upset anyone. The game buries a lot of difficult topics to make Veilguard as inoffensive as possible, a large side effect of that choice is that it becomes bland, monotone, lacking character and any genuine feeling.
3) World/Social Dynamics- most likely a victim of the above point, the World and Social structures of this game do not feel genuine or accurate at all to the Dragon Age franchise. In fact It honestly feels like this game was made by somebody who never worked on the Dragon Age series and was unfamiliar with everything about it aside from the main overarching story line. Race used to matter, it affected how people in the world reacted to you because there is a lot of conflict and bad blood in the histories and lore of the world. Race like many other things means nothing now, choices mean nothing now, it lacks a genuine feel to everything like everyone just has this happy trusting face on that never goes away no matter what. And no matter what you can say a line and everyone is happy and just accepts it, no personality, like everyone is just these thoughtless robots to serve Rooks every whim.

I have quite enjoyed Dragon's Dogma 2 for the most part. Combat is fun and engaging, but after a while becomes a little boring as for the most part enemies don't really change to much aside from becoming a bit more difficult as you progress in zones. Exploration really shines here as the world is beautiful and vibrant with lots of area and places to find. Quests are a mixed bag, I enjoy them for the most part but they can be a little confusing sometimes to really know what you need to do to progress. Most of the classes are a lot of fun to play, aside from trickster which i really disliked. And changing out your vocation for another is easy to do and simple to level up quickly if you want to try out different things. The pawn system, like the previous game leaves much to be desired though I do feel for the most part they have improved on them. They can be VERY annoying as you will constantly hear them saying the same thing over and over and over but at same time they implement a dragonsplauge system where you need to pay attention to how your pawns are acting/speaking to see signs of infection so simply turning their speech off through other means can leave you in the dark to upcoming issues.

I have seen a lot of negative reviews about the micro transactions but I don't really understand where they are coming from to be honest. There is nothing in the game that pushes you to have to buy items to play or progress. You can easily obtain all things that can be bought via in game means and I never once felt the need to actually buy anything from the store. Not predatory, or gated content, or anything negative so I just really don't understand those negative reviews.

As to the reviews about performance and bugs... also a mixed bag. They have fixed some issues however crashes seem to be still normal. I didn't have any issues really with crashing until I hit about 80 hours in and then it became something that happened nearly every game session sometimes multiple times and it can be hard to pinpoint what exactly it is that is crashing you. It is not unplayable, at least for me, but it does detract from my enjoyment at that point and causes some frustration that this game is STILL having so many issues with crashes.

Baulders Gate 3 is truly an amazing game with great depth, attention to details, and a world full of possibilities for you to enjoy however you see fit. I have 301 hours as of now in this game and fully intend to spend many more hundreds of hours in the game. It 100% worth the money at full price, but if you manage to get on a sale even better! I very much look forward to the future of BG3 and hope they continue to add more content and features over time. Replay value is high, many classes and choices you can make over a play through as well as higher difficulties/gamemodes. BG3 very much deserved its Game of the Year win.

Starfield and its Shattered space DLC is not deserving of the review bombing it got, however I can understand peoples negative reaction to what they got vs. what was expected and hyped up as I myself was quite disappointed at release. I think Starfield's biggest issue is that there was just such a high unrealistic expectation from people combined with hyped up features that didn't pan out to be as promised. People expected a lot from Bethesda on their New IP and Bethesda made sure to really hype up their game so that is also their fault for building something up and not delivering.

Is Starfield worth buying and playing through? Absolutely. Starfield has a lot of great things going for it, there are some really beautiful worlds to explore as well as interesting and fun main/faction quests and it has a lot of potential even if they don't quite reach that potential fully. I have sunk 231 hours as of now into the game so for me that is worth the money spent. I do believe with more time, more DLC and updates, and more people adding their own content to game Starfield will only continue to get better as it does have a lot of potential to be much much more. It is my hope that they follow the path of No Man's Sky and turn a rough launch and unfulfilled promises around and make it right and into something far greater than was ever even originally dreamed of.

Starfield also has its issues and drawbacks. For me the bulk of the shortcomings and failures of the game reside in the exploration portion of the game which I really feel like Bethesda dropped the ball on. The vast worlds you can visit and explore are soon discovered to really be nothing worth exploring outside of select unique worlds that stand out from the others (usually quest specific, more hand crafted less procedural generation). The assets used (structures, caves, points of interest) unfortunately are not varied in design and lack any sort of uniqueness or randomization. The same exact structures are just copy pasted across every single world, with the exact same layout, same loot spots, same enemy routine. So after you have spent some time actually exploring and clearing worlds you quickly get to the unfortunate point where you have no more new things to encounter and what should be a fun thing to do just becomes monotonous and boring because a complete lack of uniqueness or more varied content to find strewn across the many worlds that also lack variety in themselves. They also seemingly ignored water/ocean based exploration/development. While ocean/water is present on planets and even have creatures to scan (usually just 1-2), you can only do so from the shore line as there is absolutely no development of this content. A missed opportunity, they could learn a lot from No Man's Sky.

The other main drawback is really just a lack of inspired world building and Lore, which coming from Bethesda was a bit surprising to me. The whole of Starfields story and factions just really feel uninspired and unrealized. Things are just to tidy, to safe, like the writers didn't want to take any chances or ruffle any feathers or breath actual life into the world being built. I'm not saying it is complete trash but it just is not really compelling or captivating and having had played all of Bethesda's previous works I know for a fact they can do better than they did so I am not really sure what changed or why.

So i've never played the previous God of War titles as I have never owned a playstation and that seemed to be okay with this game as you don't need to know the past to enjoy the current story. I really enjoyed the storyline and journey as I progressed through the game, and the combat and gameplay was great and had no complaints. Overall this is nearly a perfect game in my opinion and would highly recommend it, I can't say I really had any complaints at all and never ran into any bugs or issues.

TLDR; Get it on a deep sale if you like borderlands, imo their worst game to date. Definitely not worth full price.

So... I've been a big Borderlands fan since the beginning and while their latest few games have been a bit of a downward spiral I think this is probably the worst Borderlands game I've played. That is not to say it doesn't have some good points or is not worth playing as I've put at least 89 hours into game right now. I can't say i was a fan of the setting/theme of the world but it wasn't unbearable to the point I couldn't get past it.

Wonderlands had the potential to be really great, especially leaning into the D&D theme. They had a chance to really make something unique and special but unfortunately I feel they squandered that opportunity for some reason I can not understand. Something like this could have had a story that evolved around you and your choices, you could have had a borderlands that was more RPG and got to craft your world through your choices. Or you could have had an epic story with massive world with new adventures being added in as DLCs. Alas, what you got is a quite very liner short story with little depth and missing a lot of the classic humor you find in borderlands. The extent of your DLCs is basically magic mirrors that add repetitive rooms with rounds of enemies and a boss. >.>

Overall the game is to short, combat is way to easy to the point of bordering boring until you get to higher chaos levels, little variety when it comes to random encounters, little incentive to really explore the maps, and once you get to endgame and are grinding out chaos levels good luck not clawing your eyes out from sheer boredom and extremely repetitive maps and enemies. Oh and guess what, once you reach end game and beat the story you can't even reset the main campaign to replay on your current level/chaos without working around it via multiplayer workarounds.

I did like the classes/skills and ability to mesh two together, that was probably the most fun in this game playing around with different combos/builds to see what you could make. The spells were also fun and enjoyed them and trying them all out. The guns to me seemed a little lackluster compared to previous titles though.

I truly hope this is just an experiment gone wrong and the next entry into borderlands will be vastly better, because honestly... if things don't start getting better I think they probably will lose this fan for good.

Early Access Review
I have really been enjoying this game for 77 hours as of now and I can see continuing to play for quite some time even with the game being in early access and not complete. There are some drawbacks, unpolished parts and lack of quality of life improvements as well as various issues but that is to be expected in early access.

This game just hits all the right spots for a really good survival game and although there isn't a vast selection of building parts to be really creative in your builds you can still do a lot with what is there and I am sure there will be more to come as the game progresses through early access development.

I very much recommend this game to anyone who likes survival/crafting type games and look forward to how the game will grow with time.
