Early Access Review
TLDR: If you are anxious about Early Access and don't understand that there WILL be bugs. Don't get KSP2. If you are a fan of the first iteration of KSP and are enthusiastic for the future of the series. Get KSP2.

Graphics: Definitely a more beautiful version of KSP. Sun reflection from the solar arrays is awesome. 10/10

Performance: With small part count ships, you will experience FPS drops on launch from the pad. As well as at stage separation. But it eventually evens out. KSP2 has been noted to not use the full capabilities of systems. IE I noticed KSP2 only utilizing a single core on my CPU. So optimization is necessary. 6/10

Communication: Vague road map for the future of KSP2. No exact or even estimated dates have been released as to when we would expect to receive updates. Only "every few weeks." according to Matt Lowne. Of course with Early Access, dates can slip. And I believe that the community needs to expect that to happen with such a large title as KSP2. But I also believe we as a community of supporters we should hold Intercept and Private Division accountable. We do not know how long it will take for KSP2 to even have the features we hope for. Only because that hasn't been communicated to us yet. So we should be cautious. 5/10

Overall score 7/10 (yes I did the actual math)

Early Access Review
I was wanting to wait in order to write a decent review for this game.
As someone of Nordic decent, I greatly appreciate the accuracy of interpreting some Nordic lore and traditions and mixing it into a Minecraft, bit-like art style. This game will immerse you and take over a lot of your time. It is also extremely challenging.

While there has been some sync issues with 3+ people in a game at once, I strongly believe that Iron Gate will put all other developers to shame. This game is HUGE as well... And BEAUTIFUL!

Keep in mind, Valheim is in Early Access, but is still this good. This is just the beginning. And Valehim is nothing else but a good example of a success story from a small dev team that is committed to the project.

AI is what you would expect. A semi buggy, but not game breaking experience. All in all, quite entertaining with friends. Server quality could use a lot of improvements though. I can't tell you how many times myself and my friends have had issues with sound sync, animals T-posing, or entirely invisible AI.

Many more hours on the standalone beta.
Eagle Dynamics does have communication issues, but they are trying to address it the best they can. With that being said, the simulator is along the lines of a true study sim. As long as you get the correct module.

Do not fall for marketing with ED products. I say that from first hand experience. Especially with the F-16. So many bugs. Most of them still aren't addressed even to this day.

If you let modules bake for a while and do not preorder from Eagle Dynamics, you should be in good standing. I personally have issues with DCS not providing enough when it comes to communication applications (needing SRS) instead of a working standalone comm system. Another ongoing issue, is the use of the beta branch as a alpha or prealpha branch, constantly breaking the beta with every update that comes out.

Just like any relationship, it has its issues and benefits. If you give it time, and don't go too fast... you should learn where you fit in. If you're a filthy casual who just pilots F-15s with a keyboard. Good for you. If you are someone like myself who pilots for hours in VR and has spent a fear inducing amount of capital on this product or is tempted to do so, be cautious.

Really, be VERY CAUTIOUS.
