Rimworld. One of my all time favourites! Doesn't matter how many times I play it, each scenario will always be completely different than the last. The game features a plethora of mods to suit each and every one of your needs. While it looks simple, to master gameplay is a real struggle; and thats the main theme. You will struggle, and you will fail. Rimworld is a game where you are encouraged to pour all of your effort in, or you could see the end of your colony. So with that, only get the game if you understand strategy well. My only critique is more... realistic people. Not in looks, just in how they act. Sometimes I feel like they have no common sense! But... There's a mod for that. Always is!

Prison Architect is exactly what it sounds like; you can make your ideal prison in the inbuilt sandbox mode, or struggle through creating a riot-free, concrete jungle for your inmates. Countless mods allow you to shape the game how you want it! It also runs really well on slow devices. I personally own a potato myself, and it runs quite smoothly.
