Dreams of Aether is honestly a hidden gem. It fits the bill of an April Fool's game in tone, but it is incredibly polished, feels good to play, and has some really great showing for pixel art as well. The light story elements and characters connect microgame gauntlets together and serve as a nice reward for finishing them.

Even after "beating" the game, there's lots the game just offers you to do, by showing you your high scores in each individual game, or in each set of gauntlets and you can set your own goals to accomplish well after the game is over, making it an easy game to return to.

Honestly, this $3 title has gone above and beyond my expectations and is easily worth picking up. I think it's going to become one of my favorite games of the year.

The music in the game is good, but it recycles itself a lot. You hear the same general tune, remixed and used in certain ways and that makes up a lot of the library. For example the combat music all share a base, all the overworld travel music, etc. Not bad, per se, but something to notice. I personally like the main one and one of the variations in most cases.

But it's a crime the starter town music in the game is not part of this track list at all. It's gorgeous and is what sold me on getting the whole OST, tbh. D:

Coromon manages to take the worst elements of Pokemon and cut the best parts of Pokemon.

- Dual typing is gone, replaced with attack-only types that should have fun interactions, but in reality add less depth than if they were simply put in as full types with creatures able to have 2 type tags. It doesn't even add much to combat because you can have a fully party of every main type to cover any weakness and get the Same Type Attack Bonus which massively increases damage over simply getting a good matchup with an attack type move.
- Pop Culture Referential Humor. I think this is fine in moderation, that being said, Coromon uses it to an extreme degree to the point the world doesn't feel believable or stand-alone.
- The main character isn't silent, which isn't a bad thing necessarily, but the main character here is so generic and lifeless, that I found their dialogue to be a waste of time and hated them.
- Character customization options are poor. Because the game chose a chibi / Maple Story artstyle where the character is represented with about 60-80% being just the head, most your body options don't have enough detail to really notice fine changes and I couldn't really tell them apart and the facial options not strong either. I ended up just making the ugliest thing known to man so I couldn't misplace my character as a result because I never found anything I liked.
- They decided to faithfully re-create the part of the Pokemon experience everyone hates: The tutorial. Where you can't do anything but talk to NPCs for a good half hour and slowly get shown mechanics that are inherent to the Monster Catching/Taming genre.

- Personal preference: I found the Coromon "cries" to be poorly balanced audibly (some really loud and some really quiet) and I released one of the starting Coromon immediately because I found the cry to be that irritating to listen to.
- Note about difficulty modes: Most of these modes are restrictions that are made from self-imposed "Nuzlockes" in Pokemon games, however, I think that development time could've been spent better polishing the game's fundamentals or from what I've heard its ending sequence, since at the end of the day, it took a lot of time to make these systems when a player could've gotten the same result without them, and on top of that, I'm sure the hardcore audience will still do self-imposed challenges on top of these ones anyway at some point.

Silver lining: They did replace Pokemon's EV system with something you can control very easily which is great. However, relegating the IV system to "shiny" varients I wasn't a fan of personally because it made any regular colored Coromon not worth even considering picking up since those varients are much more common here than in Pokemon.

Tunic is an absolute gem, leaving you to your own devices and encouraging you to poke, prod, experiment, and go where you fancy. Making knowledge of the game a progression system is amazing, and I got excited thinking about what I could accomplish in a second run because of what I learned from my first playthrough. It's an absolute joy and so enthralling that I thought I was playing for longer than I was. I honestly can't say much more without spoiling the experience of it!

The combat is balanced well, the world and story are interesting to interact with and learn about. My only gripe with the game is its last ability is a little difficult to work with in certain locations.

TL;DR - The controls make the game unplayable.

If you played the source games (Worms 3D, or Worms 4: Mayhem), your controllers DO NOT work in this game. The best you can do is configure your controller to mimic the PC controls (which are wack. It's Q to aim, right click for menu, and b for fuse, but left click to select and fire. I think it's based off of the 2D worms control schemes?), so up on the left analogue is W, B inputs spacebar so you can jump, etc.

Even THEN you have to set your controls so the right analogue is the mouse so you can have camera control and navigate the menu. You can't play this game without a mouse, and the mouse sensitivity is so high I can hardly navigate with the mouse, let alone my controller solution. (and this was on the "low" mouse sensitivity in the game). How can I play the game when so much as pushing the play button is challenging?

(As an aside, the poison mechanic where the screen whites out is stupid. It was insult to injury while trying to test the controls)

So, needless to say I'm very disappointed in how this game was ported to PC and I'm very tempted to refund.

Monster Sanctuary is an absolute indie gem. I never thought a Pokemon metroidvania would work, but Moi Rai found a great balance and it works well.

Great things:
- Combat takes place in the overworld, so you don't feel disoriented when combat ends. Turn-based games tend suffer from cut away combat disorientation, but not here which is a huge boon to the metroidvania aspect.

- Monsters are what open up the world. Rather than reach for skills and abilities that help you traverse the world and backtrack, the monsters you find in later areas just might have what you need to traverse further. Your monster manual will tell you what a monster's overworld ability is as soon as you fight it!

- There's usually two places available to go at one time, and you can even venture into new zones if you find the right entrance. I probably took one of the stranger routes in the game, but I loved it for that!

- The Story actually affects gameplay at a particular point. Really shakes things up.

- When you "level up" at the level cap, it gives you a level increasing item instead, which is beyond amazing QoL for making new teams in the post game.

- The synergies and builds you can make are awe-inspiring. The community has taken and ran with these so well!

Not as good:
- Parkour can be pretty drifty. Most notably when using mounts in tight corridors.
- Your starter familiar doesn't get better overworld abilities, so their overworld utility is overshadowed at some point no matter which you choose
- Most of the extra outfits kinda suck imo. The starter one is the best, followed by the winter one.
- ~~You can't pet the dog~~

Wargroove is a fantastic game. It's kind of addicting when you see the full scope of what it offers.

Good things:
+ Wargroove has infinate possibilities from the mapmaker/Campaign Creator!
+ Puzzle Maps. (I spent so much time on these. XD)
+ Good story. Not anything that'll take over your life, but it's certainly enjoyable.
+ Chucklefish plans on adding mods in the future, which makes it even more infinate! :O
+ The game is perfectly balanced, because all races have the same units, save it be what they look like and their commander's ability.
+ Chucklefish is updating the game! (As of 2019) This means your voice matters on the new content. Already, checkpoints have been added in, which save hours of time, as well as other needed quality of life updates.
+ Adjustable difficulty. Everyone can find the level of toughness that challenges them, but doesn't overwhelm them.
+ Multiplayer. It's multiplayer. Local, and Online. You can plug your PC into your TV, and get your controllers to play with your friends.
+ The options menu. You have a large amount of control over the animations and other aspects of how the game runs. I turned off animations for everyone, but the commanders to speed things up, but still get to see them when it really counts.

Bad things:
- It's possible the game may not run properly. It seems a little fragile, but many people in the community have found numerous solutions, and there's always Chucklefish support as well.
- I've heard that the multiplayer can be glitchy sometimes. (No firsthand experience yet)
- The game can take up a lot of time if you're not careful about the clock. XD Use that and checkpoints/suspends liberally.
- Map making can be very time consuming. The editor isn't the best, but it certainly does its job well. I recommend using smaller maps and more levels, than large maps and few levels.
- The fog of war sucks in this game. The AI can attack you, but not the otherway around. You can only see 3 tiles, and if you run into an opponent in that time, your turn is automatically canceled.
- Also, the game says dogs can see farther in FoW in the campaign, but they actually just see through the forests.

Overall: 8.5/10.
I really enjoy this game, and love its dynamicness and massively singleplayer aspects just like in the days of Spore, but taking it in a less overwhelming and needful way than that game. Everything outside of Fog of War runs smoothly and I enjoy playing through the game, and can't wait to game with my friends in multiplayer if they grab the game. If you think you'll like it, you will. If you like tactical strategy games like Fire Emblem, chances are you'll at least enjoy elements of the game. Well worth the $20!

Evoland 2 is by far one of my most favorite games. I'm not a completionist for most games, but this one I intended to do all the 100% work before beating it - that's how much I liked it. This game is very challenging and switches combat styles as you play the game. (some last longer than others, but all are no pushover) It's intended to challenge avid gamers. Not to mention, it has a lot of gameplay. I'd say about 24 hours AT LEAST. I spent 37 hours on the game.

+ The game's storyline is very strong and that's something the original didn't have (the storyline for the first came in later on) I quite enjoyed all the silly commentary from even the most remote of characters. A large part of the first portion of the game is actually figuring out what's going on.

- The biggest gripe I have is this game adopts the Mega Man style of bosses that touch you and you take tons of damage, but it feels so good to take out those bosses!

+ Another joy of this game is finding all the "easter eggs" in the game. References to all sorts of games are all over it, even if you are not currently playing in that game's style.

If you like Mega Man/Megaman, The Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, Pirate101, unique games, or challenging games. Evoland 2 will certainly perk your interest.

Oregon Trail meets Monty Python. This game is super random, super intense and a whole lot of fun.

I honestly can't think of any gripes I have with this game.

This starter pack mainly allows you to change your appearance as far as I can tell. The gems you get are used to buy costumes and the "4 Exclusive Hero Accessories" are 4 hats - one for each character.

If you want to go for appearance changing this would be the way to do it since you get a bonus 500 gems and you get the special hats you can show off with.
