In a world where gaming has been suffering an unfortunate death by a thousand cuts: microtransactions, unfinished releases, lazy voice acting, dialogue and models out of sync, uninspired gameplay, rinse and repeat mechanics etc; Along came Baldur's Gate 3; and it has rejuvenated my love for gaming. The new pinnacle of the RPG genre, Larian Studios has cemented themselves as a potential giant in both the Fantasy RPG and mainstream gaming industry. Support good dev practices, buy the game, and enjoy the 100 hour+ timesink of a truly catered and full world space.

43 (and counting) launch attempts and haven't made it to the main menu even. Lost my paid for preorder early-access time, and got told to kindly get bent by Warner Bros. support. Don't support bad dev practices, don't buy full price.

Newest update removed nearly two-hundred already available cars from players who don't have GTA+, the new god awful subscription service from Rockstar. Vote with your wallet and skip this game.

The Forest but Awesome

This game is marvellously balanced between puzzles, combat, and exploration. By completing puzzles and exploring, you're rewarded with Exp. to unlock new perks and salvage to upgrade your weapons.

For a game nearly a decade old at this point, it holds up very well. I encountered only one bug in my entire play-through and it fixed itself soon after.

In the end credits it says
"We have worked our hardest to bring you the best game we could possibly make"
and it shows.

Good game with appealing side-quests and a satisfying ending. The characters feel very human and are well written. If you enjoy slime rancher or casual games, consider this.
