I've been playing this pretty much only in co-op since the start, and even though it's objectively FAR from perfect, it's still very worth it, if you like this specific type of games.
Let's tackle the good and the bad.

Pros
- It's a progressive/completitionist game, meaning that you should enjoy repeating the same missions over and over, with higher difficulties, different classes, etc. You basically want to pick a mission and have it re-done in every possible way. So if you like this kind of thing, it's definitely for you.
- It has a nice and varied selection of loadouts you could bring to a mission. From different guns and perks, to different clothing, challenge cards and consumables.
- Everything you have levels up and gets better. Character, Class, Guns, etc
- Unlocking new things is quick and constant, at least for a good chunk of the hours most people put into it.
- Beside the basic few difficulty options, there's a Hardcore mode to unlock, with its own difficulty scale (up to Hardcore 10)

Cons
- It can get repetitive if you feel the difference in classes and difficulty isn't giving you a fresh experience.
- It definitely feels better when played in co-op, compared to joining missions with AI partners
- There's a huge issue with the co-op system, where at random, some people become permanently unable to connect and play with other players, but there are workarounds (I unfortunately got hit with this personally)
- Balancing has gone a bit out the window, with some classes/weapons being definitely better than others, making it very restricted in what to choose, if you want to play as efficiently as possible

In the end, I'm personally enjoying the game, and reading some of the reviews it already has, it seems like most people expected it to be a different kind of game and aren't really judging negatively the content this one offers, just that it's not to their tastes.

I would recommend to play it with a couple other people, for sessions of an hour or two, to scratch your itch of killing runners! Some of the challenge cards can also be quite funny, like the one that gives you a chance to knock down/get knocked down when you run into a co-op partner!

---------- EDIT ----------

After a while, they finally fixed the Co-Op issue that stopped people from being able to queue up with others!
It doesn't remove the rest of the game's Cons, but that's a huge plus.
Together with that, they also made a few other changes, like giving out Challenge Cards for free, which has been taken with a bit of controversy by the community, since it makes the entire "earn your cards by playing" kinda useless, but it's still nice being able to customize any particular match in a way or another!

In the classic LEGO games style, it mixes the famous story from books and movies, with the usual funny and lighthearted comedy these games bring.
As always, plenty of playable characters (basically everyone that was ever seen or mentioned in the movies), huge and interactable map, story content that spans the entire length of the movies and a ton of explore+collect activities outside of the main missions.

For what's worth, it's currently my only Perfect game on Steam, and getting all the achievements took me just shy of 50 hours, which for a game spanning as much content as this one, isn't a huge amount of time.
Recommended as much as watching a light comedy movie under a blanket on a cold winter's evening!

Early Access Review
The multiplayer aspect of the game is amazing (which is what me and a few friends have been playing it for) and it's really fun to mix survival with building your own base.
Seeing how you get from having nothing and scavenging for some food, to filling your base with storage because you really can't leave the 4000th lead plate behind!
The map is huge, there are tons of places to visit and loot, from the random farm in the middle of nowhere, to full blown military camps.

Everything seems perfect, except... after you spent a month doing all of the above, the server gets reset (periodically) making all of it worthless and forcing you to start from scratch.
It's really the only big negative of the game, and while I understand the need to reset the servers once in a while, it's really annoying to see all of that effort go to waste.
