While not a game for everyone for those who like Immersive RPG's this is a great buy.

Pro are bringing over some of the best parts of divinity 2 and combining it with immersive world of forgotten realms. Character choices seem endless and does not feel punishing for going down an evil route including great character customization (besides everyone bring British). This game steals hours out of your day.

Cons are a lot of rules from base dnd have been tweaked or just not used causing certain spells and game play to feel completely broken an unbalanced making many fights feel completely trivial (ie. the loading property & spellcasting rules).

Overall though the story carries the game to a solid 8/10 in my book and is one of the best releases of the year.

An overall improvement in every aspect from the first game.

Positives are that the game is an overall joy to play with a lot of replayability. There is a lot more story, dialogue, and depth to the worlds. All of this is enhanced with great music, fun puzzle solving exploration, and a more polished combat system.

Negatives are a few bugs with weapon interactions and some side quest completion. Multiplayer is where there is a couple of issues with invisible enemies and poor hit/dodge registration for anyone who isn't hosting. The enemies spawns could also have a bit better tuning. None of these issues are game breaking or ruin the experience though.

I recommend this game whether alone or with friends it is a highlight of the year so far.

Early Access Review
(This review is based off a 2 player PVE experience)

It was extremely surprising to find an early access game with so much initial depth and content available to play. This game is a blast with a friend giving tons of options to have fun and is well worth its $20's.

Pros:
- In-depth open world: I found exploring the map to be very rewarding either giving important resources or boss locations at every turn.
- Being a Vampire: This is what makes this game stand out from most base building open worlds available adding a great theme and tone for everything you are doing in the game. With special spells, morphs, and abilities to the danger of being in sunlight, holy radiation, and garlic.
- Combat: While not the greatest it is satisfactory enough to make combat enjoyable. It becomes more intricate with special equipment and blood quality of enemy types to make it more than just a simple overhead game combat experience.
- Boss Fights: Wow I did not expect this amount of boss fights ranging from large monstrosities to wandering vampire hunters. All the bosses felt as though they had value and felt rewarding to beat either unlocking new spells, materials to craft, or buildable items.
- Castle Building: Great building mechanics with a VAST amount of options for not only forges, workshops, and gardens; but also an extensively large amount of decorating available to make your castle a home.

Cons:
- Somewhat Grindy: You will find your self frequently going on loot runs for a hour taking out large periods of time you will want to spend hunting down bosses or new items. I feel this is mainly due to travel time taking longer than needed due to so much space given for people looking to build castles.
- Occasional Bugs: While most of the game is very well optimized for a early release you may experience bugs such and enemies stuck on props such as bridge columns, bosses freezing in combat no longer attacking you for a free kill, or even worse being unable to use your throne to send your servants on missions to collect loot (this happened to the partner on my server and his own for a week).
- LONGBOWMEN: They will kill their wife and kids just to knock you out of wolf form.

Overall this game is 100% worth the $20 value and I am very excited to see what updates are on the way such as new biomes, (demons?), and hopefully more bosses.

Early Access Review
I have loved this game since it came out.

The game is very well priced for the amount of content & fun in the game. It is fun both alone or with friends in a unique style of horror I haven't seen done this well anywhere else with a great amount of replayability. This comes from the depth of how the devices, ghost interactions, and hunt mechanic from the diverse set of ghosts that keeps growing with every update.

Every time I grow a bit tired of the game large updates frequently come out to draw me and my friends back in. I am extremely fond of a development team that is invested in community feedback and living up to the promise of getting this game to a full release.

I highly recommend this game, it is worth the price and am very excited for its future.
