Very good game. If you're getting into it fresh it's a LOT of content. But has been a fun grind with a solid community. Walk-ups, politeness, and general good atmosphere. Loads of people participating in events.

I love this game. Love this developer. They've created something genuinely fun, enjoyable and endlessly replay-able with a shared purpose amongst all freedom loving citizens of Super Earth....

But.... Sony wants to force me to make a PSN account, which ultimately isn't a big deal.... to me. There are over 200 countries not serviced by PSN and using a VPN can and has gotten people banned. In the UK people are forced to provide ID or facial scan, everyone needs a phone number, email etc... all to a company that has had 7 major data breaches over the past several years. I can not in good faith recommend anybody buy HD2 and put their data at risk. I adore Arrowhead and hope their next game is free from the leech that is Sony, because this could actually kill a game that is still my GOTY pick as of now.

Sony also updated their FAQ from "no you don't need PSN on PC" to "some games will need PSN on PC" AFTER it was pointed out to them, effectively going back on their word. Sony is a vile company and will never get another dime from me.

The game has been out for 48 hours and I've played it for 25 of those.

Absolutely the best initial launch of any early access title I've ever purchased. It's actually a game that I can play instead of a tech demo or small arena. The map is gorgeous, the AI is actually threatening and the gun play feels solid.

Is it perfect? No. The load in hitches between areas can be problematic seeing as often there are enemies at the borders of the higher level areas. The LZ system is too rigid and constrictive to the point that it's easily exploited, sometimes accidentally, in pvp. Complaints about optimization are largely on the shoulders of those customers who don't fiddle with graphical settings to find the combination that works best, a problem that the devs have addressed by changing certain preset settings to those that have been, on average, more successful for a smoother experience.

This game has great bones and I can see it as a playground to enjoy for quite some time with the planned additions potentially pushing this into one of my favorite shooter titles.... ever. I look forward to seeing this game reach it's full launch fruition and then progress beyond. See y'all in the Zone. o7

Without a doubt the best RPG I've ever played.

Game's addicting.... beware!.... but in a good way XD

I played OW1 religiously for almost 2 years. Was competitive, hit GM, scrimmed with a team up to 4.4k. I loved this game. The core gameplay was phenomenal, the characters engaging, and the competitive experience was so rewarding.

I played through GOATs, toxic barrier comps, and broken AF champ releases. What really killed this game was the developer spending 2 years neglecting it because they were developing an unnecessary sequel. We got NOTHING for 2 years, for this game. Now in 2023 we know that all that neglect was for nothing, not only nothing but they actively, and purposefully, made the experience worse almost across all measures. Skins you used to be able to earn were now locked behind predatory FOMO and micro-transaction methods. I had friends get into the game thinking I was a whale for having them all when I just ya know..... PLAYED THE GAME.

The whole..... point.... of OW2 was this PVE addition. I was excited for some glimpse at what Project Titan could have been, to learn more about the world, and possibly see something that'd reignite my love for this shell of a game. But now even that is parted out for MTX.

I will never play this game again. I still love this game but I refuse to reward this sort of treatment of a player base that was beyond devoted. I hope everyone involved in this butchering of a truly great game ends up jobless and humble, but they won't.
