fun, fast paced action-platformer rpg by a solo developer, needs a lot of work, but you can tell it's a labor of love, not expensive so worth checking in on from time to time to see what's on the go.

Wait how is this a definitive edition if there's a whole bunch of DLC that isn't included? What an insulting mischaracterization.

i can understand special quests, certain professions and general content being locked behind a subscription, but my subscription to "wearing boots with stats" expires i can't help but wonder how this is still around.

Due to the random nature of each playthrough i have a hard time saying this is either hardcore or casual because depending on how things randomize difficulty can vary wildly however the joys of finding out what combinations of notes do to a shot and what each bonus can do in combination with your note set is really satisfying. Now if only i was better at timing my dodges...
Simple graphics, great and player dependent music, weirdly relaxing for something that kicks your butt randomly.

enjoyable, fun, adorable, but the entire game is effectively a hunt-and-collect of different sets of equipment that let you utterly cheese the rest of the game. i recommend the game, but only if you can catch it on sale as without giving detail, the game does feel like the ending chose to cop out with an open "maybe sequel?" rather than just finish the story. that said... having played the game, if they actually RELEASED such a sequel i absolutely WOULD buy it to see what i imagine would be the true end of the story.

used to be an all inclusive game with interesting alternative levels, but now they're all DLC that i don't have access to anymore. kinda killed it for me losing access to stuff they gave us free with a paid game.

I'm leaving this game at 127 hours as a reminder that if I keep bashing my skull on its pay to win RNG features, I'm going to gnaw my mouse wielding arm off.
