As other reviews noted, this is not the new Madden game developed for next-gen consoles. This is the same build they've given a roster update and shipped to PC for years now. Nothing is different from Madden 22, not in a "hur-dur sports games always same" way. It's literally the same software with a different number. I've tried to give it a chance playing the MUT game mode hoping their updated content there would be good.

I was hooked for a bit, until it became apparent that this version of the game is so broken you can't even play it. Solo battles is totally dysfunctional, you're forced to try and grind a team in head 2 head games, or cave in and buy loot packs to get a team. Because plenty of people are dumb enough to fork over for said packs, you're forced to grind against completely unfair odds.

Solution 1: institute a rating or MMR system so i can play against like teams - I'll wait 3 minutes to get a match worth actually playing because it's competitive.

Solution 2: Maybe fix the port you've resold us now for years, so it.... works?

This game is garbage, servers are garbage, the gameplay is boring and recycled from last year. the only reason i have so many hours is because i love basketball and i don't have another option. 2k doesn't care about their pc port, it's riddled with hackers because there's no anticheat. MyTeam is pay to win as to be expected at this point. They just announced that the PC port will not get next gen updates for 2k22, despite it being..... P freaking C.

If you manage to get into a game online that isn't a powerpoint presentation, it's not basketball, it's just kids spamming dribble moves and doing a known speed glitch until they can shoot a fadeaway three in the last 3 seconds of the shot clock.

buy it, just build a friggin garry when you do.
