I really want to love this game. And sometimes i do... But not enough to give it a positive review. As other reviews here have stated, this is the worst optimized game I have played. EVER. I preordered this game because i have over 2k hours in cities skylines 1. My hopes were high, and it really hurt when i first played this game on launch day.

Multiple bugs, crashes, couldnt get population to increase. Demand would just never show up for certain zone types. Random walls of water that would destroy the city. Things that made the game unplayable. I thought that maybe it was just a launch day thing, and they would sort things out in a few months... but no.

It's been nearly a year and a half since release, and i cant play more than an hour wtihout the game crashing. It's so disappointing. It ruins the immersion that allowed me to play cities skylines 1 for an entire day. and I dont have a bad pc. I have a 4090, so i should NOT be crashing on a city with 50k population. My CS1 cities had over 500k population before it hit the in game limits that bound the game.

This game had real potential. This game HAS real potential. But after a year and a half, I've pretty much lost all hope. Back to CS1, i guess. Thanks for nothing Paradox.

This portal update is pretty much an advertisement for the power of NVIDIA's DLSS. If you do not have a 20 series + card, or do not have the knowledge of how to press ALT and X at the same time, do NOT bother downloading this. I have a 4090, and at native 4k resolution, I got 20-25fps. WITH DLSS, i got around 120-130.

Having said that, it gives a beautiful, refreshed, new look to a classic title. I very much enjoyed playing it again with ray tracing, and if you have the hardware, I definitely recommend you play it.
