The game is missing AI speed options for Arcade "Quickplay" races, the AI are only given the arcade presets of 1000-1100. Sometimes, I don't want to race at the fastest speed. And, the game also doesn't want you to do so, seeing as speeder capability ranges from 184 to ~1100.

Outside of that and the inconsistent flying at slower speeds, the game is quite fun and feels like an overall improvement on the gameplay from Redout 1. The music is a noticeable improvement from Redout 1 with practically no tracks that I disliked. The sound design is peak and gives me extreme neuron activation when I hit a drift while stacking boosts. Visuals have been upgraded to eye candy levels and the environments have been upgraded in a similar fashion. Review recommendation will be updated to positive once the Arcade "Quickplay" races are feature complete.

The campaign expertly shows off the true horrors of war, showing the true waste of human life. Everything in this game really makes you feel like a WW1 soldier going off to die for the rich man. The game has some immense immersion through dirt and blood clinging to clothing and weapons; the horrific, terrific sound scape of soldiers screaming, artillery barrages, and background scenes of the greater war being fought; and through many, many, many more examples and small details in the game. There are many points in the game where it no longer feels like you are playing an objective based fps game, rather, sometimes it feels like a survival shooter where your only goal is to not die.

I started back when it costed $40 and it is sad to see how the mighty have fallen. This game deserved to die with the current state that it's in. Performance is abysmal, UI lags constantly, everything looks dated and has low quality models, spawn screen is a video of the objective instead of the map overview, throws out traditional conquest for multiple point sectors and having them to be linked to mean anything, and many many other negatives. On top of all of this, my progress has been reset numerous times to the point where I have nothing to show for my 140 hrs of playtime.
