I played since OP Flashpoint (First ArmA), played ArmA 2, ArmA 3 and loved Reforger until the 1.6 update... (1.3 was peak btw)

- Class & Squad System = A Complete Mess
• Before 1.6, Conflict let you crack on however you wanted. Join any squad, pick any role, carry out objectives on your own terms. It was fluid, player-driven, and worked.
• Now? You’re boxed into rigid classes with preset kits. Squad size capped at six.
• Loadouts can’t be saved, so you’ve got to re-equip from scratch every time you spawn. It’s tedious, over-designed nonsense.
• Bohemia took the freedom that made Arma unique and replaced it with Battlefield Classes. It's restrictive for the sake of it.

- MSAR System = Pointless
• The Military Supply Allocation by Rank system limits what gear you can use based on your in-match performance. Fancy kit? Not until you’ve spent 20 minutes playing as a glorified gear mule.
• This isn’t balance.. it’s unnecessary punishment. It’s a solution in search of a problem.
• The original system trusted players to manage shared resources sensibly. This one treats everyone like children. It’s patronising, and it kills spontaneity.

- Film Grain at Night = Punishment for No Reason
• To "fix" the so-called gamma exploit, Bohemia slapped a thick, noisy film grain over night-time gameplay. The result? A complete eyesore.
• It’s ugly, distracting, and tanks visibility. Ironically, it hurts immersion more than any gamma abuse ever did.
• And for what? 95% of players are on modded servers with night vision available anyway. Now, night vision is BROKEN. It’s a solution to a non-issue, and it breaks mods in the process.

- Mod Breakage
• The update dropped and instantly broke almost every mod. No transition plan, no tools, no backward compatibility. Just "wait for modders to fix it."
• The modding community is the backbone of Reforger and is the only reason the ArmA games are still alive and Bohemia keeps tripping it over every update. It’s amateur-hour thinking from a studio that should know better by now.

- Bohemia’s Approach = Fixing What Wasn’t Broken
Conflict was functional, fun, and flexible.
Instead of improving it, Bohemia overhauled the whole thing into something tedious, more restrictive, and half-baked.

Not one of these core changes: class roles, supply limits, squad caps, film grain, radio spawn limit instead of supplies was requested by the community. Nobody wanted this direction. Nobody needed it.

The result? A stripped-down experience disguised as a “rebuild.” What they’ve delivered is less Arma and more confused milsim knock-off.

It’s as if they’re trying to turn Reforger into something it never needed to be.. and in doing so, they’ve peed off the players who stuck by it.

If they just added the new ballistic features, the moving grass, wind, being able to not slide off vehicles when you stand/sit/lie on them and all the other things other than what I mentioned.. They would have absolutely made an epic update. Instead, I, and many other players, are MAD..

Verdict: Reforger went from amazing to painful.
Bohemia’s design decisions are baffling. The freedom’s gone, the fun’s buried under systems nobody asked for, and the core identity of Arma has been shoved aside.

If this is where they’re taking Arma 4, I’m out.

Early Access Review
Sorry but the game - Sketchy's Contract, is way better!
It packs a ton of features and details LC doesn't even come close.

I played LC for 15 hours over the span of 2 weeks and started to get bored.

When I first played Sketchy's Contract, I played 8 hours straight!

Check it out, peeps!

From the atmosphere to the sound design and gameplay. An absolute masterpiece.

It strikes the right balance between the reliance of team-play and being able to roughly stick to your team. But it also enables you to go off and do covert stuff behind enemy lines.

The sound design and the fact that you have body parts flying about as you get bombarded is amazing. Turn up your sub-woofer and sound, and you feel like you're in it.
The graphics are great as well.
Play defensive and put thought into the route you take, and be cautious and you will survive longer, and get some kills. Keep cecking the map so you know what's going on around you.

All in all, an amazing game. A modern version of Day of Infamy.

Feels like you're playing Band of Brothers.. Sometimes from the German POV
