I rage quit Witcher 1 because of the wonky-ass garbage they called a combat system.

VERY HAPPY to say Assassins of Kings fixed it, to the point that the game holds up even today.

Of course, the true star of this game is the writing and story . I found it to be much more engrossing than the likes of Skyrim, and surprisingly even New Vegas (arguably the best RPG I've ever played). There's a wealth of lore and backstory, enough to suck you into the world.

Having Geralt lose his memories is a brilliant way to bring in new players, as it removes the necessity to play the previous game, but rewards those who did. You're thrust into this complex world reminiscent of Game of Thrones, full of political intrigue and various factions vying for power.

A mysterious group of assassins out for kingsblood, non-humans and elves waging guerrilla warfare against humans for conflicting reasons, and there's Geralt in the middle of it all, trying to clear his name.

Aside from the combat, the graphics and voice acting still hold up incredibly well, even if the face animations (can you really call them face animations?) that boil down to raised eyebrows and okay lip-syncing don't.

Excited to finish the game and update this review. 8/10.

If you haven't rage quit because you played against a broken Leroy or Fakhumram on wifi, can you really say you've lived?

Maybe I haven't gotten far enough, but the combat is way too clunky for me. Best way I can describe it is if For Honor came out 20 years too early. I think I got this game much too late to appreciate it.

It's a no from me, Dawg.

Fun, solid game but plagued with hackers/cheaters.

HACKERS ENCOUNTERED: 14 (As of August 21)

The game itself is really fun, but there is a huge cheating/hacking problem . I don't know what kind of sad imbecile would cheat on this game, but I've encountered 3 cheaters so far.

They have a speed hack/a gravity hack, and in the free for all tail game, they would just get the tail and float up out of the screen. In the team soccer game, they would just run faster than everybody else and could knock the ball into the goal with so much force as to be unstoppable.

Devs really need better anti-cheat as it's ruining the fun of the game. In the tail game final round, we all just sat there because we can't even see the guy on the map.

What's worse is that there is no way to report these people for hacking. Right now, the game auto-generates a name for everyone, so we don't know who the hackers really are. On top of that, there is currently no report button, so even if we do know who the hackers are, we don't have the ability to report them.

I will leave this review negative until they fix the huge cheating issue going on in the game.

I don't own a Nintendo console, so I can't play Smash. This is pretty close, though.

And it's Free. It really is the Poor Man's Smash.
