Draco wants to impress his father so he is mean to harry and his friends. He is often scared when asked to do scary things and pretends to be brave in front of other people. Malfoys ideal self is seen as brave and a good member to the house of slytherin. He is cunning, resourceful and ambitious which follow the traits of Slytherin (the sorting hat doesn’t even need to go on Malfoys head because it instantly knows the traits of him indicating these traits are very strong in Malfoy). He is ambitious to prove to be a worthy member of Slytherin by getting points for his house. He does this by being cunning and catching Harry and the lads on the loose. He impresses his mates in slytherin by giving Gryffindor a wicked grin when he thinks Slytherin win. Surface traits of Draco would be that he is close minded, cheeky, and cunning source trait of Malfoy would be that he is easily influenced by his peers.
