I really want to recommend this game, but I can't. It really seems like it was rushed out of the door abruptly. Not enough depth, not enough lore, not enough anything. The base for all of it is there, but the content is not. The original Aground was much more detailed and interesting despite having one dimension less. Better play that one.

I'll try to keep it short. I've played this game for over 20 hours now. And all I can say, that it looks very promising and can really be a good game, but the most frustrating current issue I have is that it crashes both randomly and on some save attempts, every time causing the save file to corrupt in a way that you load into your game losing not just some progress, but sometimes really high value loot. Meaning, that it saves that you looted something, but it doesn't save the loot on you or where you moved it, causing you to lose it forever, with no chance to re-obtain it. And it frustrates me to infinity and beyond. Until developers fix this, I cannot recommend this game. I'll change my review, if the problem goes away, because it CAN be a really good game. In that I have no doubt.

At least implement the workshop and let the fanbase fix your ♥♥♥♥!

Do I recommend the game? Yes. It has a lot of potential and you can have a lot of fun, especially with mods and friends, even despite all the jank and bugs and inconsistencies.
Do I approve on the Keens practices and their job done on the game eversince it was just an alpha? Do I want you to spend full price on any of this? Hell, no!

One of the best games I've played. And I've played a lot of good ♥♥♥♥.
The writing is beautiful. The art is great. The emotional-rollercoaster doesn't ask if you're suitable to ride. It just slams you up and down and you're helpless but to enjoy even while weeping in tears.
I can't recommend enough.
Would be cool if they added inventory sorting options and maybe fixed a few trivial bugs with voicing and such. Nothing game breaking. Although I once found myself in the position of not getting the "thought" of using one of the drugs and that was incredibly annoying. Other than that, I'm in love with the game and it well deserves every penny.

A bit pricey but fun as hell so you should grab it at least on sale. Very nice and silly take on the survival series. Get ready to learn some stuff the hard way unless you'll play on easy without permadeath.
Could use more content, tho. Community modding could be great with this game I think.

Still early access, but already so good. Awesome core loop, great replayability, decent deal of RNG, good voice acting and art, updates that actually matter... I think the only thing that I didn't like was changing the boon drop appearance, but I think I was just too used to previous one. All in all, buy it, try it, love it, have no regrets. If you fail at the latter two you can always return the game (be sure to look into that policy, I don't remember the exact rules). But I'm almost sure you'll love it on the first few runs.
