A solid Half Life conversion with some great feeling weapons and good setpiece battles. There is a certain glee to headshotting and gibbing enemies with the sniper rifle. Enemy variety is good, and each encounter is made unique enough that it doesnt feel somewhat repetitive the way certain sections in HL can seem. The environments are amazing as well. Honestly each component of the mod would be well worth it on its own, but combined all together its a pretty great package.

While the combat is a bit lacking (at least on normal difficulty), Metal Garden is a very engaging atmospheric short game. The visuals left me really impressed.

This is the most fun I've had being a wizard and solving puzzles in a long time.

I am not the usual fanbase for a Zachtronics game however I found the setting and aesthetics to be very interesting so I bought it. What followed was a rocky road filled with frustration but also much love for this game.

I think Mobius Front '83 is a very special game. If you come in here expecting an Advance Wars or other similar turn based strategy game, you will follow the same path of not understanding and frustration that I did. The success of Mobius Front is, through a relatively simple (compared to other strategy games that attempt this) set of mechanics, it captures very well the tactical and strategic thinking of the US in the late Cold War. It models through mechanics and the campaign missions the shaky position tanks and other armored vehicles occupied as ATGMs of all sorts presented a clear edge on the battlefield. Mobius Front does not make tanks useless however. They still occupy a powerful battlefield role but through mechanics the game teaches the importance of supporting them so that they can live long enough to do that role.

Mobius Front wants you to play defensively, or if you must be on the offense (as in the recon missions) to do so smartly and with intelligent planning and placement of units to provide covering fire. On a purely "fun gameplay" level, Mobius Front does let down at times because does not have any of the options or mechanics that players might expect from other turn based strategy games. However, I think Mobius Front's "fun" comes from learning how the game wants you to think and watching as success pours in a bit more easily.

Combine the all star mechanics with excellent visual design (though I wish the multiplayer had alternative color schemes for the factions in case both players wanted to play the same faction), an amazing soundtrack and audio, and what is now my favorite form of Cribbage Solitaire and you get a pretty good game that is well worth the 20 dollar asking price, provided you are willing to let the game teach you how to play.

This is the best VR game. The controls and handling feel so natural, I've never gotten motion sickness from it, and it receives constant love and updates from the dev.

I can attach an air horn to a gun. 10/10

Deep Rock is one of those rare Early Access games that was fully playable and enjoyable when it first arrived and just keeps getting better with each new update. Do not underestimate how fun it is to drink beer with your dwarf pals and then go minin'. Its still playable even solo with your little AI robot Bosco. Rock and Stone, Bruvas!

Really good survival horror The Thing based game. Item management was very much needed and the item placement was just enough to keep me trying to make the best decisions on when to use items. Inventory management was a little hectic, especially with the cold mechanic keeping me from wanting to backtrack to areas for stuff I had left there but I think it added to the fun. The puzzles were also really good (even if I didn't get the very obvious clue about the generator puzzle and spent a lot of time trying to figure it out). A solid 1 hour experience backed by a price tag of free. What's not to love?

A beautiful piece of visual art that sets a great horror tone. Too bad there is a heavy focus on jumpscares that ruins that tone at key moments. Even though the enemies are shadow things, the game likes to show you them a lot with a blaring jumpscare noise that makes it impossible to enjoy the nice atmosphere. Maybe it gets a little better after a while but the jumpscare moments were so jarring that it would be hard for me to convince myself to pick this back up and try and get further in the story. Whoever the graphic designers, level designers, and art director were for this game, they deserve much praise.
