Disclaimer: I'd been eyeing this game for years before trying it out.

Yes, I did refund this game. I am a big fan of grindy games. The grinding doesn't bother me.

It was the characters.
The characters just felt really hollow. Yes, I know they're based on cartoons, Disney cartoons to boot. I like Disney well enough. But Mickey Mouse just staring at you as you plant carrots with dead eyes isn't my jam. Major Five Nights of Freddy's vibes. Just turning around and there he is. The Mouse. Staring with his mouth half open and head ♥♥♥♥♥♥ at an angle. Dead eyes focused on your vulnerable back.

In all seriousness, it wasn't what I had built it up to be. Made it less than two hours in and just found myself bored the entire time.

It felt a lot like a mobile game with the "you need to rest/eat/restore your energy" every twenty actions or so. The little store rotates daily (the free currency one) and there were so many emails/letters in game about buying expansion packs or clothing kits or something else for way more than the base game's sale price.

Maybe if you're a huge Disney fan this'll be great. It has similar vibes to Animal Crossing (but the villagers/characters are obsessed with you and hunt you down when you're just doing tasks) with more microtransactions.

Minami Lane is suuuuuper cute!

It took me around 2.5 hours to complete it (achieving 19/20 achievements in the process). Overall, I really enjoyed it. I just wish there were more levels! The existing five levels could possibly be stretched out into like 8 levels or so with how much new content each one seemed to bring.

If you're looking for a cute little management game where it's minimal micromanaging, this is the short game for you! I'm going to dive into the sandbox mode and see what can be done there; see if I can construct the "perfect" street!
