I want to start off by saying that I have had my eyes on this game since it's release, but was one of the people that were scared away by the negative reviews. Time and time again had I saw this game on the steam lists, but just shyed away from pressing the "buy now" button until the most recent sale.

It is then that I decided to trudge forth in spite of the negativity i've heard regarding the bugs that plague this game and finalize my purchase of it. As an avid fan of single player RPGs since the very early days; I immediately found myself taken in by the wonderous world this game has to offer. It feels...alive. Which is something very few games manage to do successfully. From details as simple as selling an item to a shop only to see that same item appear on display to quest lines being altered drastically as a result of actions you had taken preceding the quest.

To make it feel as though every choice matters alone is an incredible accomplishment only to be matched by the story-telling in this game. If you're a fan of a good story then this game has much in store for you. From the very beginning you'll find yourself captivated by the story and playing on just to figure out what happens next. You'll never know when a twist may come, or what exactly the future holds, and you'll find yourself wondering and hanging on each detail of every encounter in hopes of capturing a glimpse of what's to come.

Yes; the DLC did leave something to be desired, but overall this game is more than worth it's price and it's definitely a game i'd reccommend to anyone that enjoys a good story. You'll find several hours of entertainment and an abundance of replayability with this title. I only ever encountered one game crashing bug during my first playthrough, and was able to simply restart the game to fix it.

Tl;dr If you were like me and hanging on whether you should buy this game or not, scared of the negative reviews i'd tell you to give it a chance. It boasts an amazingly cultivated world with incredible story telling. The combat is quirky, but doesn't ruin the game. You won't regret purchasing this title!

This is the first Witcher game i've picked up, and I feel like saying it blew me away is an understatement. From beautiful graphics to one of the best takes on an open world i've ever witnessed; this game has it all. The combat system may be the only thing that is slightly lacking, but it's still fun and challenging. All of the choices you make have their own impact in the future. I also thourougly enjoy Gwent, though it took me some time to sit down and actually learn it. I regret not picking it up earlier.

If you are on the fence about whether you should buy this game or not, and you're into roleplay games. JUST DO IT! You will not be dissappointed. Even if you don't like the game at first; after a couple hours of gameplay you won't be able to put it down!

Early Access Review
It's pretty good, but they've added a crap ton of grinding to it.
