Initially, at launch, I couldn't recommend this DLC from Brytenwalda but it has gotten a lot better since the Reforged Edition has been released. It improves on much needed stability and framerate though there sometimes still are slowdowns when entering cities etc.
It is playable and now enjoyable, it´s mechanics interesting. They sure have put a lot of effort into this. You FEEL like a TRUE VIKING when at sea, slauthering your enemies.
