This has, to my surprise, become one of my favorirte games of all time. I wasn't ever as into the Metriod-vania genre prior to this, only playing one metriod game briefly a while back.

The mechanics, the boss fights, the NPCs, the music, everything that creates Hollowknight's evironment is absolutely captivating. I'm not one to usually come back to reattempt boss fights that were too difficult after having already completed the game, but I did that here! I came back and kept finding even more pieces of the story, new things to put me in awe.

I can say with certainty that even if you're not a die hard challenge junkie, or supreme lover of metroidvanias, the cute but melancholy world this takes place in will hook you in, and give you plenty of fun/challenging/emotional experiences to make you stay. :)
