Great game, but I'm leaving a negative review because of the conceited way in which the campaign missions present the Allied Powers as the 'good guys' while the Central Powers are the bad guys you have to kill. Not a single mission presents the Central Powers' perspective. Playing as Allied characters and listening to Allied stories in this game simply got boring.

Put simply, WW1 isn't WW2. We're not fighting Nazis here, who rightfully deserve to be depicted as 'bad guys' in games and movies. The Germans, Austro-Hungarians, and Ottomans in WW1 were simply imperial powers just as the British, French, Italians, and Russians were.

There is no reason why the game couldn't have had 'war story' missions set from a German, Austro-Hungarian, or Ottoman perspective. Instead we're gunning down Germans on the Western Front, assaulting Austro-Hungarian positions in the Alps, and assisting anti-Ottoman insurgents in the Middle East. Zzzzzzz.
