It's really upsetting that this publisher is so terrible. Recently, they've added (poor, annoying) content from a DLC to the game which you can't disable without first buying the DLC. In other words, they've made the game worse and you need to shell out more money to fix it.

It's a crying shame because the baseline game *was* good, but the rapacious greed of reforged has them actively degrading the experience in the hope of squeezing blood from a stone. don't buy it!

I want to like this game. I've played a good amount of FiTS. There's clearly a lot of work put into the art, but all that beautiful detail just makes parsing the tactical situation way harder due to poor UI design. The layout of the combat interface often makes it difficult to see enemy stats unless you hide the mission goals pane(which is obviously a problem). Combine that with the added complexity of the party system jammed onto FiTS's already troubled deckbuilding and you end up with a game that does less with way more.

The game at the very least needs a compact UI layout option and a fundamental redesign of the way the deckbuilding works.

80 layers of live-service cruft, 144 variants on basic weapon archetypes with no meaningful gameplay changes, ten minutes of obligatory loading screens to hop into a mission- but the combat feels good. Maybe it'll get out of its own way when the live-service bubble pops? don't buy it for full price and don't buy their scrip.
