My only gripe - Add controller support. There's a million analogies I could make here to convey how it pushes many away from the game and frustrates those already here. Those of us that use Steam Input have dealt with the third party work around for years. Guild Wars Reforged has native support yet the controller discussion hasn't been on the table for GW2 for years.

Like others, over the course of my gaming tenure I have played many MMOs. GW2 is the only game that captures that MMO magic that WoW and a Runescape had in my younger years.

It's perfect for those new to the genre - even after a decade. EVERYTHING is level scaled so your max level character can always venture and quest with lower level friends. The world is gorgeous and huge while running on low specs. In game currency can be converted to premium currency. You're actively rewarded and encouraged to explore the world. The UI/Interface is minimal from the start as most cues are visual and stylized. Get as complex with hotkeys or immersed as you want. When I think of MMOs I think of GW2 as a prime example of tradition and innovation. It is the MMO to play for the classic lets raid, sit in town, and share gear for several hours.

I really wanted to play this game but there's no controller support.

Early Access Review
I highly advise against purchasing this game and supporting the project. At the time of writing the game is in early access V0.1.3.2

Undoubtedly the game looks amazing and the weapon handling feels great. Gun fights are fast, intense, and hectic. The initial impression of all this is amazing until you realize there's very little actual game here outside of player hosted deathmatchs on three maps. It's a beautiful tech demo that's riddled with microtransactions to be enjoyed as a novelty. It's sad to see as this could have been up there with Ready or Not, Insurgency, or Squad. Sadly, it will likely die in this state until a forced 1.0 release.

Be sure to play under 2 hours so you can still get a refund.

Hunt is a amazing and well crafted game that you can sink hundreds of hours into and is well worth trying. Combat is intense and firefights rarely play out the same every match. Experimentation is encouraged, vigilance is required, and there is a good amount of depth to the game mechanics. However, playing the same maps and fighting the same bosses over and over again becomes stale, tedious, and repetitive. I often find myself rushing firefights to avoid fighting and collecting bounty targets as a whole. Events occur frequently adding new weapons and tools but changes that are often enjoyed by the community such as new weather types, map variations, or perk additions are reverted or removed entirely rather than implementing them into the matchmaking rotation or base game. Hunt will continue to evolve but is mostly the same beast it started out as. The community has requested new features for years but these pleas have sadly fallen on deaf ears while a abundance of pricey cosmetics have released. The game will most likely remain unchanged in the foreseeable future for better or worse. There's still plenty to love here but little to look forward to. This is frustrating and confusing to see from a game that has so much potential and a strong foundation. If given the opportunity pick up the game with a friend or two, stalk some enemy teams, and revel in the satisfaction of outplaying them.
