This game is a punchy, hard-hitting masterpiece.

Though this game is rough around some of the edges, it's charming and a fun way to spend time exploring with friends.

Cute, flawed, fun. I love the art direction for this game but there do seem to be some graphical issues that I feel could be worthwhile to look into resolving for the debugging experience that would offer. There's a strange tearing between the tiles that make up the scene every so often. These lines/tears span horizontally across the screen but are otherwise mostly tame and not experience ruining, possibly delay in tile position updating between frame when the screen is rendered and the player is in motion? The game has a lot of promise for its gameplay loop and overall presentation. That being said, the combat does seem a bit rough around some edges, particularly some of the slime combat with a bit of sharp change that was hard to comprehend at first when being "absorbed" by the slime enemies. I do enjoy the sword-turret feature when holding shift and would encourage interesting design choices like that going forward, brings a lot of neat combat ideas to the table. Really impressive, even with the flaws.

To have built a whole game engine from scratch for this project takes a monumental amount of work and this is in a pretty good spot considering.

Perfection. The finest joy

I love this game and have played it on and off since 2017 but the move to implement Easy Anti Cheat (EAC) is just wrong. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that this decision does anything but add intrusive software for zero real purpose. Hope that this gets rolled back or an alternative way of playing without it on different servers than those with it is implemented.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe isn't a game, it is a statement. Purchase it and the original if you haven't already.
