Free game that is worth the time

Substantially better than PoE2 in every aspect, any class and build you choose is an amazing choice and is enjoyable.

While of course there are some that are going to be better than others, loot, filters, drops and combat are all more enjoyable.

Not going to head back to PoE2 for a long while. Maybe when PoE2 gets out of Beta will I head back to that dumpster fire.

The game is a mixed bag of emotions for me, while you can definitely find a usable and enjoyable build, the limited drops and crafting options are disastrous for that dopamine hit that you want from a game. Especially since in PoE1 you had the ability to create some really amazing items, in PoE2 you hit an item with a Transmutation and Augmentation orb, maybe a regal and if it sucks you throw the item away. Then you have to go find another base item, rinse and repeat.

Crafting sucks and needs some major work, hopefully after Easter some of this will get fixed.

Using the huntress, with parry is worthless any manual block/parry mechanic in an ARPG is impossible, the goal of an ARPG is the A (for action....) no one wants to block/parry/dodge etc.

Using the Meta for any league mechanic is worth-while, but the campaign is still a slog. I eventually found Glacial Bolt for the huntress which works well, but having to "find" a build is crap, each attack skill should have some viability to the game and not require a complete re-build of your character to comport to the current meta.

The replay-ability of the game as it stands is non-existent. Once you've completed the campaign there is little reason to reroll a new character in a new campaign... the story isn't worth it and at least with this league everything in the campaign is also in the "Standard" league.. so why bother if you have a character that you enjoy and have a build that still works.

GGG tends to only have one tool in their playbook, and it's the nerf hammer, any time a build is enjoyable (does good damage, fast, exciting) you know, that Actionable GGG nerfs it into the ground rather than figuring out how to bring the other skills up to be nearly as enjoyable.

Unless you like re-rolling (recreating) your characters over and over the game gets tiring quick with GGG's nerf hammer.

Quit nerfing builds and make other skills more enjoyable to create more class diversity ffs..

Generally I would recommend the game, and at the same time I wouldn't, not for the $29.99, wait until the game is free and play then.

The crafting tree is way more in-depth than most other survival type games. This isn't 7-Days to Die crafting, get your stones, sticks and fiber, make rope out of the fiber and then make a stone axe to chop trees.

If you're not scared off by that, than this game is for you.

Absolutely love this game, best $8 bucks spent ever.

Each round is shorter than what you'd get in Vampire Survivors, but its still a fun game.
