Star, if you ever happen to see this, I want you to know that I really wish this was the first thing I said to you when we spoke after all that time. Though sorry will never be enough, I am sorry for all the pain I may have caused back then, for letting my selfishness get in the way, and for creating the rift that pushed us apart. I will always regret knowing that I took you and our friendship for granted, and I was too blind and self-centered to see what I was doing and how you were feeling.

Some people say time and distance may help, but I know this isn't that simple. Our friendship was never that simple, and losing it will always be something I regret in life. I can't stop wondering how things would be now--if we would continue to play online games, watch horror movies every weekend, or perhaps travel together and experience more of this vast world. These thoughts make me wish I could just go back to that moment when I was finally able to reach out to you again.

Although it may not mean much--although you may never even read this--I just hope you know that I will always miss and cherish the memories we've made. I miss you and what our friendship could have been. I do not ask you for your forgiveness or time again, but I do truly hope you are doing well, staying safe, and receiving the all love and care you deserve.
