After leaving a negative review on launch mainly due to heavy stuttering issues (which *somehow* was fixed for me the day after launch), I think it's time to give it the recommend.

In the end, this game always wins over with its unbelievable detail, immersive environments that no other studio can master quite the same, combat that is timeless and still satisfying, and of course characters and a story that is forever memorable and impactful.

The Last of Us is the most special thing to me. I've been playing it since late 2014, racking up over 400 hours and around 22 playthroughs. I'm disappointed in this port, yet it's also the most incredible gaming experience I've had. I'm just sad so many people are having issues, or that they can't have an amazing experience due to how demanding it is to run.

There are good aspects of this port though: increased fidelity over the PS5 version, excellent ultrawide support, extremely detailed and thorough graphics and accessibility options, and great controller support. Basically, aside from the insane demand, long loading times and shader compilation, crashing, and performance issues (I know, it's still a lot), there is still an amazing product here.

All I hope is that everyone gets to experience this game to a capacity that will leave them forever impacted by it, like so many people across the years already.

This game is simply a remarkable experience that truly tests your empathy and compassion. The substantial increase to fidelity in the PC version contributes greatly to how much you can feel for the characters and the world that was created. The top-tier detail put into the body language and facial expressions of the characters, and environments, is showcased at full on PC. This is one of those games that you very well may never be able to forget, and you'll likely be impacted in some way by the end of it.

I was able to enjoy this game greatly upon release and before any major patches. I put 200 or so hours into it across a month. The gameplay is enjoyable enough, the world is excellent, and the characters and story hold some of my favorite moments across any game. It's not perfect, nor is it some immensely detailed and polished game, but that's fine because what it offers is far more important and special than what it doesn't. This is a game that, so long as you give it a chance, you will likely find enjoyment and form great memories with.

With all of the negativity surrounding the game in its current state, DICE thought it would be innovative to completely remove the player's ability to look left and right while using mouse! Very bold move DICE, but I'm not sure how the community is going to take this one!

When you get over that this game is not Left 4 Dead 3, because it isn't and never should have been likened to it either by the devs or the community, you'll find that this is a game with a solid amount of content, very good performance and therefore great feeling and fun gameplay, and a world and characters that are surprisingly decent. There's so many different combinations of play-styles that you can create to have a genuinely great time. This game isn't without it's frustrations (because there still are a few that really suck), but the devs have made considerable moves to make the experience better. For <$40, I'd say this is a solid pickup, and if you give it a chance, you'll definitely enjoy your time.
