I do quite enjoy this game! I've had the older version on WiiU, then got Ultimate on XboxOne, then saw it on sale on Steam.
The only reason I have the last achievement (plus the one for completing everything) incomplete is because every single time I try to start farming the Mystic Requests, the game crashes mid-stage after I get a good amount going. So, I'm a bit sick of that grind (the others are FAR more tolerable and much easier to do).
I've got nearly 100 hours in it for this purchase, I think it's good.

I'm a dirty casual.
It's not bad... but I can't stand the extremely limited field of view at maximum zoom-out. It is hard to enjoy playing when I can barely see the area immediately around what I'm looking at with the view zoomed out the full distance. If there is a way to increase the zoom out, that'd be nice. Maybe it's because the maps feel/are smaller than in AOE2 that this is the case? Either way, I don't like it.

Also what's up with only select civilizations getting full treatment? At least last time I played, my fave, Japan, had little if any of those home base fun things. I don't really like the home base thing, though it's an interesting mechanic.

I quite enjoyed this one, Fury was the reason I was willing to try the Darksiders series in the first place.

As to all the complaints of "the horse is dead", wow. Way to beat a dead horse. Also her love for her horse being the driving force for both her starting her journey in this game as well as when she joins with the other horsemen (Also, in case anyone missed it, her horse will come back because War effectively abused a cheat code for all of the Horsemen at the end of the first game, of which this is the second prequel to the bulk of that game).

And, honestly, it was an interesting difference in gameplay. Rather than big open areas that you need your horse to manage getting anywhere, adventure is much more... adventure-y. Yeah.
Anyway, I quite enjoyed it as much as the prior two games. Especially with the fun variety of elemental powers that Fury gets to use!

Well, to quote the store page description: "The current version of the game is EA 4.0" (ie: Early Access, even though it isn't listed as with the early-access tag on Steam.)
And it doesn't sound like the game has been in active development for some time. So there is that to consider.
(Tangent: Generally, I dislike Steam allowing early-access games. I get the idea behind it and do like the idea of additional ways to help devs afford their game, but for the average consumer I think it's too much of a gamble. People like me need to be really picky about what developing projects we back on any platform, such as Kickstarter, because we just don't have the spare money to be risking on a mere hope.)

Anyway.
The art is cute, the music is good, and the story seems interesting. But in its current state, playing it feels more like a demo with functioning mechanics than a full game despite the content seeming to be largely in place. Some areas are really tricky to manage or use a mechanic that isn't very clear (though that might also be chalked up to translation difficulties).
The English translation could definitely use work (but honestly it didn't seem too bad other than what felt like weird localizing choices rather than a more direct translation) and I think the voice acting was good, from what I remember. Sadly, as far as being a game I cannot recommend it until it is much improved.

This game (and its sequels) is an amazing story. I would definitely recommend it to emotionally mature people. Growth and kindness in the face of terror and trauma may seem unrealistic to some people (I think we call those types cynical), but that is the story here. From dealing with shock and self-blame to helping others despite the situation, this is a great tale of choosing kindness and growing while surviving in an unfair scenario.

Original release Borderlands. Not much different if you ask me, which says how the Enhanced version did the right thing: Keep the same game, add quality of life/minor additions, done. (I also played the original on Xbox 360 before Enhanced version was released.)
In other words, this is a great game. I'd still say just get the Enhanced version, but I think this comes bundled with it for free(?), so if you want to double up on achievements it can be fun to replay the original version as well. Just make sure to adjust your graphics settings right away, the default is basically the minimum quality and resolution.

The tears keep coming. This is easily one of my favorites.

I enjoy the Sparking! series, though I do wish transformations were largely tied to a single character (and then you'd have to transform to that form, or select it as a sub-menu). Also some of the cast in past Sparking! games is missing... hopefully they get added later.

A good story with an interesting mechanic system of going through the process of taking care of a rice farm. It starts slow and tedious but as you progress your ability to do the work increases your speed of the work and as the story progresses you unlock tools that make the work significantly easier (and even faster).

Tying your farm and food to increase your powers for additional benefits is a good style, showing reliance on food and its creation in a way that is rarely depicted in any media.

I haven't quite finished yet, but I have enjoyed seeing Sakuya grow from being an orphan raised in the luxury left by her parents (kinda(?) like in the Emperor's New Groove) to truly caring about those around her over the months/years they spend together. She doesn't go through a sudden shift where she suddenly is just nice and polite to everyone, but it is gradual with little changes in how she interacts and respects others.

The supporting characters have their own special views of life from their past experiences that are slowly revealed as the story progresses. They depict a resilience against even the most terrible and unfair of situations as they continue to choose to support each other despite their differences and varied backgrounds rather than let those differences drive them apart.

Spent nearly an hour making a character... may need to replace my typical avatar with the more HD-designed Zoi! (Need a better background than blank white though.) At the least, I enjoyed what is available for characters thus far.
