The controls are TERRIBLE without a controller. I play on my PC so that I can use my M&KB and not even an hour in I want to rip my hair out. The game looks amazing. I LOVE DC and was REALLY looking forward to this, but I am annoyed that I didn't just play something else for the last hour.

Quit releasing games to PC and then forcing people to use a controller to actually enjoy it.

Ill start by saying, a game has never given me goosebumps before. The story was great. I loved the photo mode, some games make it way too complicated or just very lack luster but this was very easy to control. I can't tell you how many pictures I took. XD

I don't think I can think of any cons to this at all. I was bummed when it wasn't released in April when it was originally supposed to be, but I can't even hold a grudge because they took the time the needed to make an EXCELLENT game.

What a fun little game. There weren't a ton of scares which is how I like it, it was spooky enough for me. The puzzles were fun, they weren't too hard to figure out, I got stuck a couple of times, mostly on the potion making one. I think I just have really bad reflexes 🤣

The story was really good. I liked thatthe game kind of forced you to read the lore which honestly is something that I never do. I look for the UI on the screen to tell me whats next so I can get it over with, but this made me read everything to figure out where I needed to go and what I needed to do.

I also have to say that I love the setting and time period. Its always fun to experience other cultures that I'm not familiar with through gaming. I would absolutely play more games from this dev.

This game needs checkpoints. It was not fun to start over from the beginning every time Dracula caught me. It looks soooo soooo good but the experience was not enough. Controls are very clunky, I did not notice at first until after I died the first time because I was moving in a direction that I was not pointing.

I was going to keep playing but I got a "fatal error" in the second act and had no save progress and again was basically forced to start over. I know this is early access and a student project but I hope it gets fixed because I loved the idea. At this point in time I cannot recommend this. Will check on it again in the future with updates to see what improvements are made.

Absolutely no complaints....aside from it being too short. The graphics were beautiful, the camera movement was very smooth, and the puzzles were very fun. I know this was a student project, but I really hope this gets fleshed out into a full game because I really loved it.

Very very VERY cute game. I love the concept of going into the books and basically playing out the stories inside.

The graphics were really charming and detailed. I loved the fact that everything is made of cardboard, so cute 😍 The puzzles were good, not too easy where it was a breeze, but not too hard where I wanted to pull out my hair.

All in all, I really wish there were more books, because I would absolutely pay for an full version of this. 👍

Very fun little game. I have only done the main story which took me about an hour, a got stuck sometimes but that was 100% user error 🤣 I have yet to play the tower mode but I really enjoyed what I played so far. It gave me hardcore SNES vibes. Will update review after playing through the second mode.

IMO worth the $8 to support indie devs
