Genuinely excellent.

Captivating story, beautiful art style, interesting level design.

The main campaign 'only' took ~13 hours on 'true' difficulty (a harder setting to reflect the dev's intended experience), but the story felt well-paced and I feel the price is more than fair for the content. Definitely some replayability here between mutators and opportunities for different approaches to missions.

Looking forward to giving the IV1 remake DLC a go.

Honestly a little disappointing for a full price title

Performance isn't amazing for a fairly empty game, A-Life feels anything but alive (mods make the spawn distance a little better but still feels like it's just annoying bloodsucker ambushes 90% of the time), AI is janky beyond what you'd expected of stalker - imbalanced in both directions. Voice acting is wooden.

My biggest gripe - there's not nearly enough side content. The poor A-life doesn't help, but the world just feels empty overall, just littered with some stashes that mostly don't have anything particularly interesting.

Very fun but should not have been released yet - several major bugs in the same sequence of a single mission isn't really an acceptable state to release a full price title in.

Wait for bug fixes.

Have to give credit to the devs for committing to such a niche concept, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love raccoons and there aren't many games like this that I know of.

Excited for the multiplayer to become more than a test bed. It is very buggy and limited in features right now, but seems updates are coming.

9 months on, struggle to think of a more horribly optimised port

Edit: Actually runs acceptably when you can get it to launch, shouldn't have to troubleshoot what appears to be an issue still around from launch ('out of memory' errors on systems with more than enough)

Doesn't help that building shaders can eat into or easily take up the 2 hour refund window on many machines

Reasonably priced and great quality content, but not nearly enough of it for only a little cheaper than Prairie Fire was at launch. Would absolutely buy again if more content's added in future updates. Would really like to see British/Canadian forces.

I didn't expect a masterpiece, but I'm impressed this game disappointed me enough to request a refund for £0.42
