Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road stands as a triumphant revival of the series. From the moment the ball dropped, this instalment in the series delivers on nearly everything a fan of the franchise could hope for.

It pairs the heart and charm that long-time supporters recognise with ambitious scale, modern visuals, and content deep enough to keep you playing for many hours. There are signs of some rough edges, largely expected given the project’s magnitude, but they don’t overshadow what is clearly a labour of love. For fans of the franchise, it is a must-play; for newcomers intrigued by anime-style sports RPGs, it might just be the perfect gateway.

The amount of content is staggering. With more than 5,400 (or “over 5,400” in some sources) characters from across the series’ history to recruit, train and experiment with, the depth of the collecting/training loop is enormous.

The “Chronicle Mode” is a real stand-out. It allows players to revisit classic matches from the franchise, relive nostalgia while also engaging with modern systems and visuals. The sense that the game is a celebration of everything the series stands for comes through strongly.

Presentation and gameplay feel polished the action is fast, flashy and satisfying. There are a few bugs at launch, but nothing game-breaking, and most have easy workarounds. It’s clear Level-5 put a lot of heart into this, and it shows.

Edit: They're actively patching out bugs that get reported. Kudos to level-5 for that!

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a strong return to form for SEGA’s kart ambitions. It blends speed, strategy, and style in ways that feel both fresh and familiar. If you love kart racing, it's absolutely worth diving into.

Core racing feel & variety; The controls are tight, drifting and boost mechanics deliver satisfying mastery curves, and the variety in track layouts and intervention with cross-worlds keeps each race fresh.

Rival mechanics & character interplay; Assigning a rival in Grand Prix adds a smart and engaging thread, in other games it seems like there is always this one character that gets in your way. The voiced interactions between the player character and their rival inject personality into this mechanic.

Polish and presentation; Visually the game is appealing, tracks are well designed each with their own gimmick, transitions into cross-worlds and changes to the track during laps are well implemented.

The only drawback is a lack of rival interactions for DLC characters. I just hope future updates or DLC patches can address that inconsistency in character treatment.

Monster Hunter Wilds - the "monstrous" new hit from capcom, and a "Wilds" ride that delivers breathtaking landscapes and heart-pounding hunts. The game features an immersive world. The combat feels thrilling and responsive. The game runs well on a RTX4080.

12 Labours of Hercules - A pretty decent and relaxing time management game, easy to learn and straightforward. Although it's not my genre I can see the appeal for casual gamers that enjoy a lightweight puzzle game.

Disgaea 5
One of the more in-depth tactics JRPGs on the market with big numbers and systems layered on systems. It's a must have if you enjoy grinding and a good amount of customizability.

Bought this on switch and bought it again on steam. ~400 hours total.

Note: Doesn't have online functions on steam.

Deep rock galactic
An amazing co-op shooter, where you drink beers and kick barrels after your fight against the harsh environments and reaching your quota of minerals.

Overcast - Walden and the werewolf,
A game with cheap jumpscares, Annoyingly static overlay and a lantern that barely gives enough light to navigate.
But hey atleast it has cards.
