Early Access Review
Very addictive game, can absolutely recommend it!

I remember watching some videos about people melting down different items to extract metals from it, and wanted to try the same thing. But this game scratches that itch perfectly... just gotta fight the urge to start taking apart every electronic item I have xD

The dev is very active on the game's Discord and is very attentive to the few bugs that do appear; hell, the few I've reported, I've gotten a response from the dev within a day :D

All in all, I see great potential in this game, and if you're like me who loves hoarding these kinds of items or picking stuff apart, this game is definitely up your alley :)

And to the dev (if you're reading this): Keep up the good work! I'm absolutely looking forward to where you're taking this game in the future :D

Keep in mind that the game is still in Early Access (Alpha), so there might be some bugs here and there

Been playing Skyrim almost since it came out. I remember getting it for my PS3 where I spent many a weekend exploring the world of Skyrim and having an absolute blast with every second of it. And of course, once I got the PC version, I instantly started modding, a lot of just random mods first, but then moved onto more immersive mods.

I have just been hooked on the game from the start, it has a vast open world (maybe not as vast compared to today's Open World games, but it was groundbreaking imo when it came out), there's so much to do and explore, and so many different characters to meet and talk to, and of course the lore.

And of course, there's so many mods out there to choose from, and I can almost guarantee you'll have a blast playing this game no matter what. And age doesn't matter either :D Hell, my high school teacher was a huge fan of Fallout 4, and wanted some more recommendations from me. I instantly thought of Skyrim. Last time I talked to him, he had already sunk 100 hrs at least into Skyrim. And of course, we have Shirley Currey on Youtube who we all know as "Skyrim Grandma" :D

I have put at least 300 hrs on the Classic 2011 edition, 78 as of writing this in SE, and I'm fairly certain several 100s of hrs went into my PS3 edition as well. It's safe to say I love Skyrim, and I can highly recommend the game.

A nice and easy-to-learn piece of the Total War saga. If you're a newcomer to the series, this is a great place to start :)

One of the best games I've ever played, had so much fun since the day I started playing. The only downside I would say is when you get further and further into the game, you find you do a lot of the same stuff over and over again. Story-wise, perfect.

10/10 would recommend!

(2016 EDIT)

As I have been playing this game for almost 600+ hours now, I would like to edit my review to a complete and utterly detailed one. I won't spoil anything major in case someone considering buying it haven't watched it on YT or doesn't want spoilers at all.

The game itself is based on base-building, with an interesting story which would be placed chronologically between GZ and the original Metal Gear on the MSX1. The story (in my opinion) is basic, but intriguing at the same time. As I mentioned in my earlier review, as you're getting further into the story missions, you will find yourself doing sort of the same over and over again.

In addition to the story missions, you are very early on allowed to explore the free roaming areas. Here you take on what is called Side Ops, an alternate way of making in-game money. The money is in return used for recruiting staff in the field, as well as developing better weapons and equipment. Keep in mind that a lot of your time will be spent on grinding for money and resources, as well as recruiting better suited staff.

(Minor spoiler, mechanic based) You will about halfway through the story, unlock what is called FOB missions. These missions let you attack other players' FOBs and capture staff and/or resources. If you do something wrong, the owner will know you're there, and either defend his/her base, and if you lose, they will inevitably retaliate (attack your base to retake their stuff)

All in all, there is a lot of replayablitiy in the game, meaning you can always repeat missions and testing different tactics and weapons on your enemies. One thing worth mentioning in relevance to the free roaming section; enemy soldiers WILL respond to your tactics, meaning they will equip themselves with better gear in an attempt to counter your tactics (many headshots -> helmets, body shots -> body armor, night infil -> flashlights and night-vision just to mention)

The online part (Metal Gear Online 3) looked cool when it was first launched on Steam/PC, but inevitably I found people hacking and ruining the fun as always. Not so much in FOBs, but some.

In summary:

Pros:

- Replayability
- Interesting story (to some degree)
- Free roaming
- Freedom in terms of loadout and tactics (you pick what you see fit)
- Huge areas to explore
- Cool buddy system
- Impressive bases (yours and enemy locations)
- A lot of customization (goes with #4)
- A motherf***ing METAL GEAR!

Cons:

- Repetitive missions
- Grinding
- Microtransactions (but nothing game-breaking)
- The online mode(s) (I'm looking at you, MGO)
- Some hackers, mostly in MGO

I would rate 9.9/10 :)

This type of game is one of those I like, being able to see how all the parts in the guns fit together and work as a whole. That's something that I find fascinating! If you're a fan of guns, you really should try this game out!

I recommend playing this game because it's awesome! I haven't been able to put it away ever since I got it for PC. I have it on PS3 already, but playing on PC is much more fun; you get mods, console commands, and you can do things on the PC version that you can't do on the PS3 or 360(not sure exactly what).
