Amazing

As someone who loves open world games and loves the boss fights of a Soulsbourne game, this was a match made in heaven. As I progressed and mastered one area, a whole new area would open up with seemingly unending content. The addition of the mount, Torrent, made travelling throughout the lands in between a lot of fun and added an interesting element to open world boss fights.

As for the boss fights themselves, FromSoft is at the top of their game. Each of the Great Soul bosses had their own difficulties and there were a couple that I found myself changing my build to master. Since the game is so open to explore, anytime I found myself stuck on a boss, I would often just go elsewhere to fight more bosses, get more loot/levels and come back when I am stronger.

With all the good, there were a couple issues. It's hard to give a review without talking about the framerate. There were times and certain areas where I would be running and my fps would drop to 0, come back for half a second, then drop to 0 again. These stutters never ended up in my death, but definitely made some fights a lot more difficult. I personally did not have it happen so much that it was a major problem. The other issue I had was occasional game crashes. It would always come while loading in a different area from a teleport, so thankfully not at crucial times.

All-in-all, FromSoft took the best Soulsbourne in terms of boss fights & story, added on a vast open world that frankly looks beautiful on PC, and delivered the best game I've played in years. 10/10

An overpriced web browser game. Controls are attrocious. Mechanics range from difficult to use to downright awful. The game saves your last safe platform you landed on before you died, rather than the furthest platform. This means if you accidentally fall to the beginning of a level and touch ground, then die, you are stuck at the beginning again. This, paired with the poor controls makes the game infuriating for all the wrong reasons. Only reason I have this game is because I got it from a Humble Bundle. There are much better platformer games at this price. Skip this one.
