Chapter 1 — The Boy from Brasília

Long before the roar of stadiums and the flash of cameras, there was only a quiet neighborhood in Brasília.

The sun rose slowly over the city that morning, painting the streets in soft gold. A boy with bright eyes and a gentle smile ran across a small patch of grass, chasing a worn football that had seen better days.

His name was Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite.

The ball bounced unevenly along the ground. Kaká chased it with determination, laughing as he slipped on the grass and got back up again.
