I've got this odd issue where the NefariusVirtualPadDriverNotifications keeps crashing, and then causing my discord to reboot alongside with it, thus interrupting my discord streams until I close out of Discord and re-launch it. The crashes in event viewer line up exactly with the times discord reboots and refreshes itself. I have disabled NVPDN for now, and for whatever reason that's fixing it, and i haven't noticed any decrease in usability of the DSX software. Wouldn't mind a dev responding in some way, shape or form to help confirm what's happening. Debugging seems to show a possible outdated .net within the Notifications? Otherwise, this software definitely outperforms DS4 which I've been using for years, yes I paid for the better person, but it just handles things so much better in my opinion.

Through on/off playing, I have come to enjoy and love this game. It opens the floor up to an audience that other Bullethell type games I've played in the past didn't (Touhou, DeathSmiles, etc) The game feels vibrant, I love the way the story is progressed and would like to see some further expanding upon. Progression through the areas as the various characters feels polished and fun, the items create a new variety of gameplay everytime you start a new run. Overall I would recommend this game, especially with friends. My only gripe about the game is that you cannot progress the story unless you play solo. I would also like to see more playable classes being unlocked through maybe extremely picky/detailed achievement (i.e) Complete a run using a specific class, while only using specific skills on a specific difficult and a modifier in there for gameplay mechanics, such as faster timers or a Boss Tag Team special event.

I feel as if this game is a perfect future re-envisioning of the past titles. The music is damn near perfect, the art style is great. Level design and difficulty tuning is fantastic. Aside from some weird clunky de-synchs and framerate issue that only seem to be plaguing steam during Multiplayer, I would definitely recommend picking this game up if you were a fan of the past titles. If you're new to this title or genre, give a gameplay video a look on YT and decide for yourself. This game gets my endorsement!

What a cute, short, dumbly hilarious game. I believe I have accomplished everything, but the music was catchy, all the demon waifus were cute, I wouldn't mind seeing more of something like this down the road, maybe a larger game, might even pay for it too if it a nominal price tag. Games Free, Check it out, no reason not too. Its a solid hour of your time! Thanks Vanripper for something to do. <3

I would recommend this game if you can grab it for $5 as I did, it was a nice time sink and its pretty fun as is.

A couple things I would note before buying;

Pros:

Love the approach on the art style.

Good Soundtrack

Good Campaign Story, what's there of it.

Likeable "Hero Characters"

Fun Gameplay, enough for me to finish the Campaign on Hard.

Charming in a rough around the edges and cracked through the center kind of way

Cons:

AI has absolutely terrible pathfinding as is, utterly terrible.

There are some maps and levels that pathfinding does not exist at all, some parts of the maps are just not traverse-able, units making obnoxious map wide loop arounds.

Units and Resources get stuck in cliffs, trees, underground and you are unable to move them afterwards, effectively needing to kill them and just re-train.

Game has issues selecting units in a rapid manner and will not always pick up your actions, an extension of this state is also the game runs extremely rough, even on Ultra High-End Systems. During certain levels and skirmishes, when there was no more than 30-40 units on the field and not a lot of effects, I would see FPS drops down to 10-15 from 165 almost out of nowhere. This effect happens no matter the graphics settings.

Quick System Info:

Ryzen 3900X - Liquid Cooled
MSI RTX 2080TI - Liquid Cooled
32GB G.SKILL Ram
Gen 4 Sabrent NVME SSD 2TB
