This is an amazing game.

Aesthetics: 10/10. The appearance of magic, environment (such as water appearance, etc.), character detail, and so on, are all pleasing to look at.

Gameplay: 9/10. Combat can be boring at times due to it being turn-based, but it is generally a fun experience. The magic feels powerful and the hits can be gruesome when critically striking.

Story: 7/10. Not gonna lie - I don't even care about the story too much. It hasn't immersed me all too much but that's generally not the type of player I am.

Replayability: 10/10. There are countless ways to approach the game, and there doesn't seem to be any real META. There are also a lot of ways to approach the story as well, when making decisions.

I've only completed Act 1 so far, but damn it's fun... and that's coming from someone who usually doesn't even care all that much for RPGs anymore -- I tend to lean towards strategy. Would recommend this for people looking for a game that is worth the money, time, and effort while also being able to stop at a moments notice to handle anything in life, ranging from an important phone call, door solicitors, kids, etc.

9/10 - Easily one of the best Steam purchases I've made. Worth the $20 asking price.

This game is built around team work, thus relies on its community. It has a very cordial and cooperative community which will quickly teach you how to play, regardless of whatever role you choose. Roles are not defined, therefore one may be an engineer and then immediately grab a rifle and seek combat at the front lines. As stated before, the game is based on team work. To build the fortifications, vehicles, or weaponry, one must supply materials. To supply materials, people have to gather the supplies from scrapping and scavenging. It all comes together to create a constantly changing battleground that ebbs and flows depending on not only the combat methods used on the front lines, but also the supplies and logistics.

I highly recommend this game and am looking forward to seeing how Foxhole progresses in the future. I only give it a 9/10 instead of 10/10 because it still has room to improve, therefore I cannot give it a perfect score - it is in early access after all. Bugs do exist.

An "Early Release" game that's already selling paid DLC - makes sense. Consumers have already paid the full price for the unfinished video game, yet the developers decide it would be a good idea to then charge for more content...? Seems ridiculous to me.

The gameplay itself is fun, but the paid DLC before the game is even finished irks me.

Did you love Civilization V? Great! It's the same game, with a couple of variations!

-Custom Tech trees
-3 Military trees
-Custom National ideas among a select group of "factions"
-Aliens. Aliens everywhere.
-Miasma (poisonous gas) everywhere
-"Tremors" Worms that need love

Beyond Earth is a great game if you loved Civ 5, but don't pay full price for it. Continue playing Civ 5 until it goes on sale.

Attila Total War is a great game. The AI, even on normal difficulty, is challenging. I've liked most of the Total War games, but this is among the better ones. Each faction is engaging, especially with the new migration options and horde mechanics, it allows the player the option to make their own history nearly from scratch, whether one creates an Ostrogothic Persia or a Vandal Britannia or an Alani Scandinavia.

On release, this game was and is leaps and bounds ahead of Rome 2 Total War as a comparison. Although, the game still has tweaks and fixes that are necessary, I am sure they will be fixed given time. There are some historical inaccuracies that will annoy history nerds, like myself, but they aren't game-breaking. One example being the Alani tribe: in game their roster is almost entirely German as is their appearance, yet they are an Iranian Sarmatian tribe - closely related to the Roxolani and Iazyges tribes. Their appearance and roster should be more like that of the Rome 2 Nomads than what it is now. The Huns, at the moment, have more powerful infantry than they do cavalry - which is baffling. There aren't any Slavic, Celtic, Semitic, or African tribes (yet) but it's still possible they may release in the future with DLC.

Campaign Gameplay: 8/10
Battle Gameplay: 7/10 (Still very quick battles)
Mechanics: 7/10 (Needs polishing, may change)
Replayability: 9/10
Graphics: 10/10 (The Raze function is amazing)
History: 5/10

Average: 7.7/10

Normally, I refuse to buy Early Release games for obvious reasons - it's an unfinished product. It usually has me asking, "Why would I spend money on something that isn't finished with no guarantee for its release?"
Even as it stands in its current stage, it's a great game with plenty to do - and this is coming from a person who typically hates Sandbox genre games.

Pros:
-More than enough to do
-Great to play in groups
-Feeling of accomplishment when you actually build something
-Scale of map/construction
-Logical and realistic sandbox:
-Survival mechanics
-Building mechanics

Cons:
-Questionable developer choices when it comes to storage
-Obvious bugs due to it being an early release
-Harsh learning curve
-Not noob friendly

I wouldn't recommend this game for people who want to play 20 minutes at a time or for younger people as it requires a bit more of a mature thought process. However, if you like the Mount & Blade series, it's similar to Persisent World Mod mixed with Minecraft. Mind you, this game is only the early release. The actual game will be a Massive Multiplayer Online with player driven politics and the world we be constantly changing based on real players' decisions. There are no NPCs, Quests, or any of the other typical things of an MMO - it truly is a sandbox.

One of the hardest games I have ever played. Instead of purely ruling an individual country that attempts to absorb other countries like Europa Universalis, this one focuses on a Dynasty (a ruling family) that can potentially spread and dominate the known world. Through tact and diplomacy, subtelty and intrigue, and even war, you are able to control anything you want.
However, after hours and hours of trying to learn the game, I feel as if I have only scratched the surface of understanding how to play. This is a great game for a person who wants a challenge, has a LOT of time, and loves history.

If you are an avid Mount and Blade fan and are trying to find a game similar... This is NOT it. The combat is slow and mechanically unreliable. It lacks a feeling of immersion when playing due to the characters' robotic swings and movement.
However, the customization options are decent, if you are a Call of Duty player.

One of the best strategy games I have ever purchased/played. Getting into it takes a great deal of effort, but once you get it down it is a very gratifying experience. For me, it took about 2 days of repeatedly failing before I learned how to manage a country. The best part is that it has a ton of ways the game can turn out, meaning most likely that no two play-throughs should be the same.
