It has to be said that this game is incredibly unoptimized, it does not run well on the majority of PCs. It is also not as visually impressive as i expected, the textures are particularly bad in places. It is however still an amazing Monster Hunter game despite the flaws.

Monster Hunter Wilds is easily the best game to get into the series if you can play it. Combat can feel a lot better than in Monster Hunter World due to the ability to aim your attacks, and a lot of moves can now be used whilst moving and repositioning. Every weapon in this game feels fun to use and features a base level of mobility that doesn't exist in other titles. I would recommend new players to start here.

This game has an amazing roster of monsters with some of the best designs seen yet with equally great music and the endgame is so much better than base World or Rise. I think the game is over-criticised outside of performance, which is terrible, do not get me wrong, but looking past it (if you can) I do think Monster Hunter Wilds is one of the best games in the series. I am incredibly biased since i love Monster Hunter, but what made me fall in love the series starting in World is still here in Wilds.
