Updated Video Drivers, - Game stopped crashing. - That's My B.

Very much enjoying the game thus far.
CL4P-TP is still annoying as ♥♥♥♥. Still shooting him every time he speaks, because gun fire is better than his voice. Truely CL4P-TP is the more horrific thing Handsome Jack ever created, and it continues to be the bane of all existance.

Early Access Review
Heartbound is a unique narrative driven RPG. You take control of a boy that em-"barks" on a quest to find his missing dog. And while that may seem a bit light on Lore, - its exactly the opposite. Heartbound is full of great storytelling, enriching dynamic environments. Every plot point leaves you with more questions about what is really happening. Reading between the lines is necessary, and fun to do. This game is fantastic, and I eagerly await every new content patch.

Its not 20XX, Its not a sequel. Its an entirely different game with all new mechanics with exactly the same platform mechanics. Out of the box that's not terrible. Just not what I was expecting. Sadly the game has a major pacing problem, where new mechanics are introduced one after another with little to no explanation of how they work before they kill you.

I absolutely adore 20XX, its a great game full of cool mechanics that are introduced in a way that you can see how they interact with the world before they have a chance to affect you. 30XX is much less kind. Being a rogue-like is no argument for it either. A platformer should absolutely demonstrate a mechanics, even if only subtly before you interact with it. Because of this 30XX Doesn't feel like a platformer, it feels like Chaos.

If that's your thing, by all means enjoy. The sound is decent, the music is great. The art is fantastic, and the controls are super tight. And I have to say that the controls are so important in games like this one, so well done there!

I can't recommend it though. This feels like I'm being pushed through a gauntlet that I am ill prepared for. I'll stick to 20XX.

Risk of Rain Returns is the masterpiece that none of us knew we needed until we had it.
The old MS Paint graphics never really bothered me, and the maps were fantastic. Returns builds on Risk of Rain by increasing the quality of all the images, re-balances some of the power-ups that were under performing, adds new map variants; and fixes bugs. There is even a few new artifacts.

All the original RoR Content is upgraded, and just enough added to it that it feels fresh and new, but also like its still the same game.

11/10 would get thunder-clapped by a sand crab again.

Warframe is a special kind of looter-shooter. It really is it's own entity in the genre. It requires patience to get anywhere, with anything. And for most things the grind is real. Warframe sports multiple game-modes in the form of mission types, a la warframe, railjack, archwing, duveri. Warframe sports multiple combat types, some of which can be intermixed (and there are rewards for doing so).

Sadly Warframe does a poor job of explaining things. The actual gameplay tutorial is top-notch. however once you get past that bits and you start needing to pick your own missions there is little explanation as to how any of the games other features work, like the market, codex, and mods. The warframe wiki will be your friend for a lot of this, as well as youtube videos that explain interesting synergies with various mods - warframe abilities - and team compositions.

I recommend that new players join a clan a seasoned player will be better able to help you understand the mechanics, recommend quests for you to do that will unlock more content, or give you rewards that you'll need.

I have over 4K hours logged in steam, and I have thousand from before steam when I used the launcher that is downloadable from the DE Website. I would guess I have about 6 thousand hours in game, and I can easily say that i really enjoy it, but its not for everyone. With so many intermixed systems bug can be mildly annoying, to frustrating, to game breaking, and they pop up all the time. The games feature creep is obvious in how some systems exist only to support itself and have little impact on the base game. (Archwing / Railjack)

There are micro-transactions, and if you buy platinum it will allow you to grow your arsenal much faster. However if you are in a spot where that isn't an option for you, you're going to be doing nightwave challenges to ear extra warframe and weapon slots, which is incredibly slow. I highly recommend not logging in for a few days, then when you do, you will almost always be present with a coupon for platinum, that way you can acquire a whole bunch at once for really cheap.

The games sound is wonderful, (I'm half blind so I really cant comment on the visuals, though they look nice to me). The controls are snappy and responsive, I recommend Warframe to anyone that doesn't mind dropping a few bucks on their game every few months.

Note: ignore region chat as much as possible, it gets weird in there.
