They broke the game. unable to play for a week now, they acknowledged the issue but yet to fix.

I have a 13900k with a RTX 3080 and 64gb of ddr5 ram at 6800mhz ona 1440p monitor after chapter 2 every main battle is a lag fest or crashes randomly. max setting and low setting make no difference to the performance.I'm now on Battle of Yu Province and i can't get past it as it always crashes.

gameplay wise its really good. performance wise it's a pile of ♥♥♥♥.

update - they fixed the ♥♥♥♥ performance so now looking forward to the new DLC

Cant recommend it in current state.- think these are all fixed now! and multiplayer is a lot of fun!
3 large bugs
stand off - this is when you you challenge the enemy to a cinematic who hits who first. 20% of the time this will bug and you cant attack leaving the enemy to get a free hit which takes 99% of your hp

sound bug - too many sounds at a time causes the sound to stop working. not to bad in the base game but makes the DLC unplayable. as they have shamans which chant and this always causes the sound bug

PSN bug - doesn't load for alot of people this locks you out of all the legend stories and multiplayer.

really good game improves on everything from the last game.
I'm not having any performance issues I've not watched the FPS but i cant notice any issues. you get some micro stutter very rarely

I'm really enjoying this game, love the way to you siege. Needs option for greater unit cap and some more civs.

Very Basic MMO, lack of content. Melee combat is extremely laggy(rubbbanding) and clunky. ice gauntlet has 3 skills but also has a very common bug that means ice pilon will never come off CD until you relog.
This is basically early access needs a lot more work.

If you enjoy any of the other "soul like games" then you'll enjoy this. its a great game and a lot of fun played 25hrs majority of it in co op mode.
I play on an I9 9900k with an RTX 3080. in 25hrs i've seen my FPS drop below 60fps once. this is with all settings maxed.
Co op partner is on an i7 4790k and RTX 2080 with everything maxed and had no fps drops... So people getting FPS drops need to be looking at there hardware.

Clearly an early access game
Economy - broken - you have to fill the gaps and take care of the economy or the AI just shuts down and stops working. Your first few days of playing will be baby sitting the AI so it doesn't just collapse on itself.

Autopilot - broken - will stop randomly will constantly crash and then just keep flying strait into that object it hit over and over again.

Turrets - Broken - the only viable turrets are beam as that's the only turret that can hit anything sometimes..

Station building - Broken - Make sure your station is fully built before you close the game or it will remove random modules for no reason.

And so many tiny little bugs. E.G. I just did a quest for a certain faction, to repair their station, So I repaired their station for them the mission was completed perfectly, and for my efforts I got -3 rep. Makes perfect sense.

Why they're working on an "online" element of sending your ships to other people worlds, why? The game is in such a broken state fix it before trying to add something so pointless just so they can add "multiplayer" to the tag. Which is no more multiplayer than posting your picture to each other in AC:O.

This isn't as bad as the debacle that was X-rebirth. But it isn't far off.

There will be a sale before the game is fixed so just wait for it. As it is defiantly not worth the full price.
